"...And then I swooped down on this dude and took back the bike he had stolen." Peter says.
"But who's bike was it?" I ask.
"That's the thing, I have no idea. I just left it there for the person to come find it."
He shrugs.
"But then somebody could steal it..."
"Oh- no don't worry. I wrote a sticky note on the bike." He smiles.
Oh my god I hope this kid wasn't an idiot.
We walk into Stark Tower and are immediately greeted by Tony Stark.
"Where have you two been?" He asks us.
"Mr. Stark, we were just getting sandwiches. And then we sat on a roof." Peter replies.
"You brought her on a roof?"
"Um. Yeah."
Tony rolls his eyes and send us away.
I don't know why he had so much control over what I did.
I was grown up. My childhood is gone.
We both head back to my current room, not having any idea on what to do.
"D-do you like legos?" Peter asks, sitting down.
My room was basically empty.
"What are legos?" I ask.
Whatever they were, they probably came out after the war.
"Oh. Never mind, then."
He grabs one of the bouncing balls that Stark so generously gave me.
Really, Stark.
He starts bouncing it against the wall.
I just sat and watched.
Then I had an idea. I moved my hand up a bit, not noticeably, and stopped the ball mid air.
He turns to me, half in shock and amusement.
"How'd you do that?" He asks.
"What, this?" I ask, moving the ball side to side in the air.
"Yes, that!" He laughs, getting up to watch the ball move around the room.
"Although what I went through was torture, some "perks" came out of it, you know?"
"Awesome..."
He tried to catch the ball as I move it around the room.
"W-wait, Sarah."
"Yeah?"
"Do you like pranks?"
Just like that, a smile formed across my face.
I used to love pranks.
"Why do you ask?" I grin.
"Well, uh- I've really been wanting to prank Mr. Rogers lately..."
Why did this kid always put "Mr." or "Mrs." in-front of an adults name?
I laugh.
"I'm in."
"Y-you are?"
"Yup. What are you planning?"
He smiles and starts explaining the plan.
"This is going to be awesome." I reply once he finishes speaking.
