Loki's POV...
It's been nearly 5 hours, I believe. It's 2:31am. I've been watching the time, for what seemed like, forever. It was awful to wait this long with no updates. Why were there no updates? Did something happen to her?

At this point, Bucky, Peter, and Steve were here. Apparently, everybody else was keeping a very close eye on her father. They'd ended up bringing him back to the tower, and locked him up. They made sure to upgrade the cage he was in, so he couldn't get out at all, unless somebody let him out. Of course, that's how it usually works, but this time the only way to let him out is by activating the system by voice. So, basically, only Stark can let him out.
Nobody here was asleep, either, like me. How could they sleep, anyways? All three of them had some sort of friendship with Sarah, and Sam was her literal brother. He hasn't even seen her for a very long time, and once he does, she could die. I couldn't imagine that pain.
...
About an hour passed by, and suddenly, a doctor appears in the waiting room. Everybody, including me, immediately sat up. What if it was terrible news?
"So?" Sam asks the doctor.
The doctor sighs, "She survived the surgery... but.."
I let a sigh of relief out, as he mentions her survival.
"But what?" I ask.
"We don't know if she'll wake."
What? What does he mean they don't know? How could they not know if she'll wake?
"Can we still see her?" Peter asks.
"Well, by hospital policy, only family could visit her for now, until she wakes." The doctor explains.
I can't see her?
I look over to Sam, "Go see her. Tell us how she is." I tell him.
He shakes his head, and looks up at the doctor again, "Listen, doc, we're the only family she's got. We're all going in." Sam says.
"Are you family?" The doctors asks.
"I'm her brother, and these guys are family to her too." Sam explains.
"I'm sorry, the hospital policy says-.." the doctors begins, but Sam cuts him off.
"Only family could visit her, yeah I got it. Like I said, we're family."
The doctor sighs, and waits a moment to speak.
"I suppose you could all visit," He says, "But, please, don't tell any other doctor that you aren't related in any way."
Everybody nods, and the doctor motions for us to follow him.
He leads us down many hallways, for this hospital was huge. I don't believe I'd ever find my way out if I tried. This man was leading us up floors.
Finally, though, he shows us to the room she was in. He opened the door for us, and closed it once we were all inside.
There weren't enough chair to see on, of course, but everybody decided that Sam and Peter should get to sit down in the two chairs that were here. They were the youngest here. Well, technically. I don't know how old her brother is.

I walk over to her bed side, and just look down at her. She just looked as though she were sleeping. She had these weird tube-looking things going into her arm, like needles. Other than that, she looked fine. Of course, she did have stitches on the wound, and it was covered up.
"Do you think she'll wake up?" Bucky asks.
"She will." Steve assures, but he couldn't know for sure. Not even the doctors could be sure.
"And if she doesn't?" Peter asks.
Nobody answers. Everybody stays silent. Nobody had an answer for what was to happen if she never wakes up.
"We won't have to worry if she doesn't. She will." Steve says, reassuring everybody.
...
Time skip...
About two days go by, and nobody has left her side. She hasn't woken up yet, either. The doctors came to check on her frequently, making sure nothing else was wrong with her. The only problem is that she hasn't moved nor waken up since she was shot, and that's my fault. Surely, everybody I love ends up dying. That must explain why I haven't died yet, though I've been shot twice this year.

"This might not be the best question to ask at the moment, but is there food here?" Sam asks.
"Yeah, they probably have a cafeteria or vending machine somewhere." Peter explains.
"From what I remember, hospital cafeteria food sucks. I'll take my chance with the vending machine." He replies.
"Do you even know where you're going?" Bucky asks, as Sam gets up from his seat.
"Nope." He answers.
"Peter, go with him." Bucky demands.
"Sure thing, Mr. Barnes." Peter says, standing up.
Steve reaches for his wallet, "You need money for that, you know?" He says.
"I know, I've got money." Sam says, holding up a few dollars.
"Where did you get money from?" Bucky asks.
"I pick pocketed it?" He says, as if it were simple.
"You stole it?" Steve asks, as if he didn't hear him.
Sam just nods and shrugs.
"You really are just like her." Bucky mutters, chucking the smallest bit.
Peter and Sam end up going to find food, and I'm just sitting next to her beside at all time. The doctors were kind enough to bring extra chairs in the room, so everybody could sit.
It's been silent for quite a while in this room, really. Rarely does anybody speak. We're all just sitting here and waiting. Waiting for her to wake up, if she ever does. Steve keeps assuring that she'll wake up, but even the doctors aren't sure at all at this point.
"You know, you should get some sleep." Steve says to me.
"Hm?" I ask, not taking my eyes off of her.
"You need sleep." Steve repeats.
"No, I'm quite fine without it."
He sighs, "She'll wake up, but right now, you need to worry about yourself too. I mean, in general, when was the last time you slept?"
I don't remember when the last time I actually slept was.
"I don't know." I answer, quickly.
"Please, Loki, get some rest."
How can I? How can I get rest when she could die, or possibly never wake up?
"I can't." I mutter.
"For her sake, get some rest. Do you think she'd want you to deprive yourself of sleep, just to watch her sleep?"
He has a point.
"No."
"Then rest. She'll be okay." Steve assures.
"Fine." I say.
I sit in the chair, quite oddly. Instead of sitting the correct way, I'm laying across it, therefore I can lean the back of my head on her hospital bed, and I could still reach out to hold her hand. It wasn't the most comfortable, of course, but it'd do for now.
Perhaps she'd wake up before I even fell asleep. If I fell asleep, that is. I doubt I will, but I am exhausted. I haven't slept in days, and every time I blinked, I wanted to sleep.
I hear Peter and Sam come back into the room, and open a bag of, what I assume to be, chips.
"Is he sleeping?" Sam asks Peter, whispering.
"He might be." Peter whispers back.
I'm not. Not yet, at least.
"Maybe I shouldn't have opened the bag so loudly..." he says, trying his best not to laugh at the silence.
"Yeah, maybe." Peter says, also trying not to chuckle.
"Hey, he hasn't slept in days. Would you quiet down?" Bucky asks, also trying to sleep.
"Yeah, yeah. Okay. Sorry." Peter whispers.

It didn't take long before everybody had fallen asleep, but I was still awake. The hallway lights were dimmed, and it was quite dark in the room. It was probably around 10pm. I don't think I'll sleep. How can I? I can't sleep.
I open my eyes, and sit up so I could face her. I wasn't going to fall asleep at all. Not in that chair, especially.
What else could I do, but look down at her? I move my chair closer, and lean my head against the hospital bed, crossing my arms underneath my head, so I'm facing her.
What if she truly never woke up? What would I do? I manage to reach out my hand, so it's holding hers. As soon as I'd gotten her back, I'm losing her again. She remembered, but now she might never wake up. My luck is truly the worst in the world. Maybe I was right. Maybe nobody could love me. Because like I said, anybody who does, ends up dead at some point.  And now, she's in the verge of death. All because of me.
