"Where are we going?" I ask.
I didn't really like secrets or surprises.
"You'll see." He says again.
No shit, I'll see. That's why I have eyes.
He brings me into an alley, and pulls out the same thing he used to get on top of the building the other day.
"Um. Just, hold on, okay?" He says.
He grabs hold of me, gently, and starts swinging through the air.
This guy really liked using webs or whatever they were.
"We'll get there faster." He yells through the air.
I honestly didn't care how fast we got there. I just didn't want to be at Stark Tower. Yeah, I did want their help, but so far they've done nothing but make it worse. Especially Stark.
...
He drops us down in another alley and puts away whatever you call it. A web shooter?
"W-we're here." He says.
He walks out of the alley as I follow him.
I smile.
I hadn't been to this place in so long. It changed a bit, yes, but other than that it looked the same.
Coney Island.
"You've been here before?" He asks.
I nod. I think he could see how excited I am because he smiles.
"Well, uh, let's go then." He says, smiling back at me.

...
We get ourselves a soda and he gets cotton candy.
I never really liked cotton candy for some reason. We had went on almost all the rides we could do far. It wasn't that packed there, considering it was a Saturday. So that was a good thing.
Soon, I become aware of my surroundings. People were staring at us.
Shit.
I wore a t-shirt today. They could all see my arm.
I take my arm down from the table I rested it on and try to hide it.
It was really noticeable. No wonder everybody gave me weird glares.
"What's the matter?" He asks, noticing I now had a worried expression across my face.
He looks over to my arm I so desperately wanted to cover.
"H-hey, thats- thats nothing to worry about," he starts, wearily, "I mean- maybe they think it's cool..."
I knew he was trying to make me feel better.
But my thoughts didn't want me to feel better.
Everywhere I go I see people staring at me.
"Maybe.." I mumble.
Damnit I wish I never noticed the people looking in my direction. Then I wouldn't be sitting here, worrying my ass off.
I try to ignore it and finish my soda.
"Do you want to go on the Ferris wheel, maybe?" He asks.
I smile. I always loved the Ferris wheel. The feeling of the breeze in your face from up high, and you could see everything from up there.
Up there I could be safe.
"Sure." I say, smiling.
He was really trying his hardest to make me happier.

We get to the front of the line of the Ferris wheel and we step on.
I hadn't been on one of these since forever. He sits down across from me as the Ferris wheel begins to move. The Ferris wheel moved slowly and stopped for a while at some points.
Finally, we make it to the top.
The breeze blows through my hair and I smile.
It felt like freedom.
"You like the Ferris wheel?" He assumes.
"Yeah." I answer.
"Me too." He replies.
Peter was really nice. He was awkward and never really knew what to say... but he was nice.
Any second now, the Ferris wheel should start moving.
But it doesn't.
"Everybody, stay calm, we are having some technical difficulties. The waiting time will be approximately 30 minutes." Someone yells over a speaker.
Cool.
I didn't mind.
Heights weren't one of my fears.
"Are you okay?" He asks.
"Oh, yeah I'm fine. I don't mind heights." I say.
"Oh- okay. I just.. wanted to make sure.." He smiles.
I smile back.
Peter actually wanted me to be okay.  He cared for me.
Out of pity.
Stop. Don't think like that.

Suddenly, something attaches to my neck.
I feel up my neck to see what it was.
Shit. No.
"Sarah? What is that?" He asks, now concerned.
The chip in my neck starts to inject something inside of me.
Fuck. They found me.
I try not to scream in front of everybody.
My vision starts to blur.
I could see Peter getting up next to me, trying to see what was happening to me.
I started to go numb.
My eyes are barely staying open.
They close.
