A L E S S I O

I am feeling so angry, confused, and betrayed. How could this be true? Giovanni came to me with information that destroyed me that morning.

Let's just say he's not as trusting with her as I am.

A few years back, I had a huge breach in my online systems. I don't keep illegal files online, no trail.

Just mainly legal documents, property titles, blueprints and things like that.

Shortly after, I received an ominous message that read "I will be the downfall of your lives."

I worried about it for a while, did some remodeling and property selling but nothing ever came of it.

I could never find out who it was.

My IT guy, Leo, narrowed the location of the IP address linked to the breach to a neighborhood in north Seattle, Washington.

The message was untraceable though.

Giovanni recently found that Aisling lived in that exact neighborhood during the time it happened.

I suspected Aedan instantly, but he confirmed that Aedan was already off working with Derry abroad, and Aine was attending boarding school in Canada.

It was just Aisling and her mom. Could Aisling really have been after me all these years? Watching from afar?

I didn't believe it, I couldn't.

She always acted as if she never knew me personally before, I mean she freaked out when she found out I was De Luca.

Every moment with her, felt so real, it was why I fell for her. Shit. I really did fucking fall hard.

I put Dominic, one of my longest, and most trusted men on her though. He said she drove to a store, and met someone in the parking lot for a little chat. We did our research on him, come to find out he's a fucking FBI agent.

I couldn't believe it, but it was true.

So I got everyone out of there. Now Gio, Aaliyah, and I are in Italy with some of the New York crew.

"Alessio, we got a problem." I sigh, exhausted. "Andy just called, Aisling is gone. She packed up all her things and had movers come in the middle of the night, then snuck out the next day. It's all on the security cams." None of this makes any fucking sense.

I pull out my laptop and log in to my security app, knowing there is a tracker embedded inside the bracelet I gave her. I groan when I see it's at the house. She left it there.

"What is it?" Gio pries, he's been doing a lot of that.

"Nothing." I snap, leaning back in my chair, and closing my eyes.

Gio has really been on my nerves lately, constantly pushing me to do something about it.

"Are you seriously going to let her get away with this?" He wants an aggressive confrontation filled with us yelling accusations at her. I can understand that Gio is protective but this has gone too far.

"Gio, I'm really not interested in doing this right now. You need to remember your place. Get the fuck out of my office right now." All I know is that I want to hear her side before I go off accusing her. Forgive me for wanting to handle this

Gio could sense he'd gone too far and left the room wordlessly.

He doesn't know her like I do. She didn't do this. She couldn't have.
