A I S L I N G
Bailey had came over immediately when I told her about the eviction notice. She was going to have me move in with her so we decided to get a head start on packing up. I lied to Bailey, gave her some bullshit excuse about the building being rezoned. I didn't see a point in keeping my father's secret anymore but Bailey has a normal life, she needs to stay as far away from this as possible. I am worried about moving with Bailey, because of the trouble it could bring into her life. I decided I'll live there until I can find another place to live.
Alessio came and apologized, saying that he couldn't stop thinking about me, the only thing I wanted to do in the moment was forget him. Even amidst all my issues, I wasn't able to shake the thoughts of him from my brain all day long. Whenever I'm near him lately, I feel lost for air, like he just steals it all away and I'm left catching my breath whenever he's gone.
I need release. I pack a bag with my black gloves, water, and a towel. I drive downtown to the gym I used to go to, Mireya. I walked up to the sketchy looking building, taking a deep breath before walking in. "Aisling? What're you doing here? I thought you were done with this shit." Rafael, who co-managed the place with the owner, Mireya Riaz.
She's a busy woman, thankfully I've only met her a few times, I'd rather not know anything about her if she's anything like Kila. Mireya took in Kila when she was just a teenager, taught her to fight, and has primed her to be the next owner of the club ever since.
"I'm going through a rough time, I just really need this." I shrugged.
"Alright well Kila's fighting today, I'd watch out if I were you, she still holds a grudge." I roll my eyes at the sound of her name.
Kila was also my cousin, Nathan's, girlfriend a while back. We were friends since I was always hanging around Nate. She was the one who first brought me here. I fell in love with the rush of adrenaline, the feeling of letting myself go, and even the pain. I thrived off of the pain here, it felt like what I deserved.
As I moved up the ranks, winning match after match, undefeated. Kila got extremely jealous and angry, especially since she brought me here herself. She felt like I was setting up to take her place, which I had absolutely no intention of doing. I just liked the rush of fighting, and I was trained since the age of 12 so I was just good, there's no changing that. Kila's hatred for me grew until it was full blown. So
I left, but now, I really need this. Let's hope she doesn't make trouble.
I walk in to see a few people sparring in different areas around the huge ring, which was empty at the moment. The place wasn't nearly as packed as it has been before.
"Well look who it is, guys. Why are you here?" I cringe at the first sound of Kila's shrill voice from behind me. I turn around to see her glaring at me.
"I just need to blow off some steam. Put me up against someone, anyone, I just need a good fight."
"Oh alright...." she grins. "I'll give you the good fight you're looking for myself, no gloves, who better than me to put you in your place once and for all?" She smirks, I mentally scoff. Kila never thinks clearly when she gets all cocky.
"Whatever, let's just do this already." I started getting ready and wrapping my hands before hopping in the ring. Kila followed shortly after. Once in the ring she glares at me darkly with an angry face before her lips curve up into a smirk.
They motion for us to begin and just like I knew she would, Kila strikes first after advancing rather quickly, aiming punches at my head.
She makes the first punch to my cheek. Hm, I'm a little rusty but there's nothing like a good punch to the face for motivation.
