Friday

I don't know how Kate did it but I was allowed to spend the weekend away from the facility
Kate also decided we would come right after school to her place and stay 'til Saturday

We currently had lunch and I saw Everest and Madison being all over each other
They seemed to have fixed things between them
"Venus?" Kate asked waving her hand in front my face "huh?" I said looking from their table to Kate "Ugh! Nevermind." Kate said going back to her bacon egg sandwich
I was about to take a bite from my sandwich but I noticed Ian staring suspiciously at me
"What?" I said puzzled
"Nothing" he said slowly looking confused at me

Okayyy

Kate and Ian where talking to each other while I absently slurped on my drink
My phone vibrated multiple times

I looked over to his table and saw him typing on his phone smiling

I glanced up my phone to see Kate and Ian still talking about the movies they wanted to watch tonight

As I was looking up from my phone I saw Everest smirking at me
But not only I noticed - Kate and Madison did as well so I quickly looked away from him

I was now in class working on my project with Everest but instead of working he asked me a bunch of questions about where I'm going tonight

"What are you going to do anyway" he said slightly irritated because I didn't answer his previous questions
"It's a pyjama 'party'" I said nonchalant
"Where?" He asked "at Kate's" I said concentrating on the work sheet in front of me "who's coming?" He asked again
"Me and Ian" I said concentrated

Silence

But then Everest decided to take my pen to stop me from working "So he's allowed to come but I'm not?" He said irritated
I took another pen from my pencil case
"Yes he is because the three of us are best friends" I said going back to work
Everest also took this pen from me
"We are best friends too!" He said sounding like a child
Now I'm surprised "are we?" I asked him
"Of course" he said
"Well I'm not in the position to invite people over to Kate's. And how would Madison react when she finds out you are staying at a girls place?" I said now looking at him
He groaned and clenched his jaw " I told you not to worry about her" he said annoyed
"Everest stop it. You are not going to come" I commanded
He looked away from me and crossed his arms over his chest like a 7 year old after not getting what it wanted

For the rest of the class neither of us talked to one another and I was completely fine with that but I can't say the same about Everest
He would occasionally look at me and then go back to work

Mrs Brighton finally dismissed us from her class and I packed my stuff and Everest was still being quiet
I looked at him and saw a glint of sadness in his eyes
"Everest?" I asked cautiously
He turned his head to me and raised a brow
"Everything okay?" I asked
He gave me a fake smile "yes. Couldn't be better" he said and with that he left
That was odd

Now at Kate's place the three of us baked brownies and cupcakes together - don't ask why
Since I've been at Kate's I didn't got a single message from Everest which is very odd considering that he always texts or FaceTime me when we are not together

Right now we were watching the avengers in Kate's bedroom while eating our brownies and cupcakes
Still nothing from Everest
After that we played just dance and more games on Kate's Nintendo switch also singing to the top of our lungs, taking pictures together and now tiredly chilling in Kate's living room
"I'll be right back" I said getting up from my comfortable position on the couch "I'm going to the bathroom" I said Ian and Kate nodded their heads

But instead of peeing I called Everest
He picked up after the 3rd ring.
"Everest?" I asked
"No." A female voice said "It's Madison" she said
"O-oh hi Madison" I said unsure
"Why are you calling my boyfriend?" Madison asked coming straight to the point
Shit what do I say?!
"Oh uhm just because of our... school project- yes that's why" I said lying
"Stop capping Venus. I don't know what's going on between you two but Everest belongs to me! So stop whatever you are doing" she said sounding angry
"Uhm..." was all I could say
"Don't lie to me Venus! I know you like Everest" she said with a hint of pain in her voice
"What? No! We are just friends" I said trying to assure her
"I know that's not true! I know he's at your place whenever he's free - his boys told me that" Madison said starting to sob "I know I'm not always the nicest person - but I wouldn't survive otherwise" she said crying now
"Venus please don't take him from me... I need him that's why I love him" she said still crying

My stomach twisted at her words

"I don't want to take Everest from you - I promise. He's way to much to handle" I said trying to lighten the mood
She giggled a little "oh my gosh that's so true - even after i sucked it multiple times he's still to much to handle" she said chuckling now
I choked on my salvia

If you don't know what she was referring to
You can be really lucky

"Ha ha" i laughed awkwardly
"Alright See you on Monday, Venus" she said before hanging up
Dang she didn't even let me say goodbye

I went back into the living room

"What took you so long? Where you taking a shit?" Ian asked trying to hide his smile
I threw a pillow at him while laughing
