Artist & Gamer Love

Nomi loves to draw, very much. His ability to create art is amazing, and most of all very talented. He has a roommate named Randy, a quite famous gamer on the Game Hole and the online media. They had been living under the same roof for a while now, and only their friends knew about this.

They first met in a convention center, in a cafe and started to talk a bit. They soon became close friends and decided to stay close by after knowing they live in the same town, Norrisville. It happen pretty fast and it's been a solid 5 years they had lived together. Things went well for both of them in their work and being as friends. Well, almost. Here's a day where their relationship starts to really showing up.

It was around Randy's birthday when it happen. Nomi is normally drawing his emotions, classic. He was drawing one of his thoughts, him drinking a slushy and next to him was his lover... Wait, no. His ideal love.

A slight smaller height boy with blue eyes and purple hair, wearing a jacket and eating an ice cream. He was smiling with Nomi, holding hands. How romantic. And he looks like, Randy. Wait, Randy?! No this can't be happening. Nomi check his drawing again. No doubt, he's in love with Randy. He was pretty cute anyway...

"Hey, Nomi! There you are." Randy's voice was heard in Nomi's art room. Nomi quickly close his digital art project and opened the previous file he had from a commissioner as he looked at Randy smiling pretty awkwardly.

"What do you need, Randy?" He asked. Randy then started cuddling with Nomi like a kitten. It became a habit of them starts cuddling when Randy just started to be either excited or disturbed.

"Nomi, do you know what day is gonna be tomorrow?" He asked a bit excitedly. Nomi knew what, but he wanted to make it a surprise. So he has no choice but to lie.

"Sorry, I don't know. I'll be busy tomorrow so I don't think I'll be available for a while." He said. And that wasn't really a lie. Nomi has a meeting with Randy's friends and mom about the special surprise. Randy looked at Nomi a bit shock, but sighed, sounding a bit disappointed by it. Nomi knew Randy would be like this but he has to.

"Oh, okay then... What are you working on?" Randy asked, decided to change the topic. He was still cuddling with Nomi which to be honest, Nomi wasn't sure if Randy is happy now. He's very disappointed.

"Just a commission, it cost around $150 so I have to make it worth the penny. How about you?" Nomi asked calmly. Randy sighed, hugging Nomi a bit tighter than usual.

"Just... Gaming as usual. Oh and I'll be theorizing about the newest game trailer everyone was hyped about with the biggest theorist of all, Mathew." He explained, looking at Nomi's previous drawings everywhere. Nomi smiled and give a small peck on Randy's forehead.

"If you don't mind, I'd like to finish my work. I'll see you at dinner, okay?" He said. Randy blushed a bit and nod his head, let's go of Nomi and left towards his gaming room. Nomi sighed and continued his work, also while watching some of Randy's gaming videos. Hey, why not? It's honking awesome.

Randy walked back towards his room and slides down against his door. His face shows confusion. Full confusion and a hint of blushes.

"Why did he do that?" He asked himself, covering his forehead where Nomi had pecked earlier. He can still feel Nomi's warmth on his forehead for some reason. Nomi is cuddly but why does he feel something more than that?

"I better start editing my video..." He said to himself and walked towards his gaming chair. He started to edit his video and posted it on the same day. It's his birthday tomorrow so better make it count a bit before tomorrow.

"Time to take a break. Oh yeah it's almost dinner. What does Nomi wants to eat?" Randy walked towards the kitchen and check the cupboard. There's instant noodles, instant coffees and instant hot chocolate. He checked the fridge and realized that there's not much. Just eggs and a few coke bottles. Looks like he has to do some grocery shopping for tomorrow. How great is that to celebrate a birthday no one remembered...
