"CATCH HIM!" A guard yelled as he chased a redhead who has a pet Phoenix stealing a loaf of bread. Just a bread. Nothing else. The redhead managed to run away a lot of times just to get some food.

"C'mon, guys. Why not let me and Phoenix eat peacefully?" He joked and jumped towards the rooftop. The guards tried to catch him but no vail.

Nomi is unfortunately an orphan. He has no siblings or parents for him to love or care. He is also poor so stealing is one way for him to survive. Although he steals, he is a very kind hearted kid. He would find food sometimes and gave some to children who couldn't get any food.

Nomi rested after managed to run away from guards yet again. He breaks the bread in half and gave the half to Phoenix. He was about to eat it when he saw two young children looking for food. Nomi sighed and gave the half of his bread portion for the kids to eat. Phoenix did the same and left with Nomi on his shoulder. Soon, they heard the royal trumpet and saw a prince trying to marry the queen's child. Nomi wasn't sure if it's a son or a daughter but he had heard that the child is beautiful, smart, funny and apparently has two sides of masculine and feminine.

"If only I can see it." Nomi wondered and left towards his home to rest. His home is an abandoned building, cracks everywhere and broken rooftop. He can see a beautiful view of the palace and wondered what it would be like to be there. Must be amazing.

In the palace, the queen who rules the kingdom is worried about her child's future. She walked towards the garden where her child always go and sighed.

"Sweety, why did you reject him? He's a pretty good guy." She asked. Her child, Randy is petting his animal friends and he looked down in the fountain.

"But mother, I don't want to marry a guy like that." He simply said as he lets the birds flies around. His mother was worried.

"Sweety, you know the rules. It says that-" her words got cut off by Randy's words.

"A royal child must marry to another royal child, I know. The rules are wrong, mother. I don't want to marry someone I don't love. I want to marry who I choose and love, even if they are not royalty or anything."

"If you say so, sweety. Remember, when you reach your 18 years old birthday you need to marry soon." His mother said and let her son play with the animals. Randy smiled at his mother's understanding and continued playing with the creatures. Randy's brother, Tengu who's in his ghost form is happy to see his brother finally smile for once.

"I'm proud of you, bro." He said before disappearing in thin air. Randy look up and wondered what it's like in the village. He wished to see it secretly. Howard, his royal friend came with Theresa, Heidi and Debbie.

"Your highness, is there anything you may need?" Debbie asked. Randy nod.

"I would like the see the village, without them knowing that I'm a royal." He said as he stood up. Heidi got a cloak and give it to Randy.

"Your highness, use this cloak to blend in with the villagers. You can go there tomorrow until you're ready to come back here." She said with a gentle smile. Howard making sure that the animals are healthy and fed.

"Thank you, guys. I'll see you later." Randy said with a happy smile.

The next day, Randy sneaks out of the palace and wondered around the village. He saw many people being kind and he even paid for the children's food. As he walk by, he didn't notice a certain redhead looking at him from afar. Nomi looked at the mysterious cloak person and saw his face, it looks beautiful.

"Woah, he doesn't look that bad." He said to himself. Phoenix only shook his head. The cloak person almost got into trouble if it wasn't for Nomi taking him and make sure he's safe from the guards.

"Why are they attacking us?" He asked. Nomi chuckled.

"Welcome to the life of the poor. There will be time you'll have to steal for your own survival and run away from the guards and thieves." Nomi smirked and helped the cloak boy escaped.

"T-thanks, I guess." The cloak boy said, embarrassed. Nomi smiled.

"It's a pleasure. I have to go, stay safe!" He said and ran away from the guards.

"Wait, I didn't know your name- yet..." The cloak boy, Randy said. Who was that boy? He was so nice and caring. He can feel his heart beating for him and doesn't know what else to feel about him.

"Could he be the one?" Randy thought and left towards the palace.

Nomi managed to hide away from the guards and saw the cloak boy went inside the palace. He's a royal?! Nomi was surprised after learning that he just helped a prince. So it's a boy, how cute. Nomi walked towards a sandy tombs and stumbled into a man in his 60's. He is gramps.

"Hello there, child. Would you please help me get a treasure in the Cave of Wonders for me?" He said with a sinister smile. Nomi knew that smile, but why not.

"Sure. Where is it?" He asked. The gramps showed him the cave after summoning it under the sand the cave reveal itself. It shaped like a tiger and let Nomi to come in to grab the lamp in addition to not touch anything else. Nomi went inside and found the lamp. He was about to take it when Phoenix accidentally bumped into one of the treasure jewels, making the cave about to collapse.

Nomi rushed towards the exit and begged to get help being free. The gramps forces him to give the lamp first but it was too late. Nomi fell inside of the cave and now trapped.

"Dangit, what should we do now?" Nomi asked as he look at his bird friend. Phoenix shrugged and found an old carpet that's magical and flies around. Nomi smiled as he looked at the lamp that he got and rubbed it only to release an all powerful genie.

"What the-?!" He yelped and fell down as the genie groaned and crooked his head.

"Aw man, 800 years in that lamp really made a difference. The name's Genie, pleasure to meet you, master." Genie said and smiled. Nomi was surprised.
