Soft AU

Randy is the soft while Nomi is the edge boy.

"Randy, wake up! You'll be late for school!" The voice of Randy's mom made Randy woke up by surprise and fell from his bed. He looked at his alarm and rushed to get ready. Today is nothing special so he wore a simple red t-shirt, normal teal color jacket and finishing it off with a simple red bow in his hair. It was the last gift his father gave him before he was brutally killed right in front of Randy's eyes. He wanted to make sure his father is still remembered.

"Please be safe up there, father."

Randy rushed downstairs to see his mom cooking up his breakfast. He only has his mom now, no one else. He loves his mom and swear that whoever hurt his mom, he won't hold back. He already had enough.

"Morning, mom. What are you cooking?" Randy asked sweetly as he kissed his mom's cheek.

"Morning, my child. Just making your favorite pancakes of course. After your school day, I finally got my weekly break. We can have fun until next week for your birthday week." Randy's mom said with a smile as she placed the pancakes on the table. Randy was excited.

"Really? Yay, thanks mom! I love you so much!" Randy said and hugged his mom tightly. His mother giggled.

"No problem, my child. Now eat up. You have to go to school." She said as she looked at the time. Randy finished up his food and waved his mom goodbye.

"Yes, finally a week with mom!" He said to himself as he arrived at the school. Then, he stopped.

School. Sometimes safe, sometimes dangerous. Randy sees school in both way. Safe, cause there's friends who's there for him. Dangerous, because he often got bullied by jocks and edgy students who hates softie. Randy was classified as a softie even though he can be quite tough at times.

Randy rushed towards class and accidentally bumped into the most edgiest student of the school, also the famous and strongest student of all.

Nomi Norisu.

He's, well, he's pretty quiet yet his skills are up there. No one knew his childhood but they didn't care. Many girls and boys fell in love with him because he's handsome, smart looking and most of all, rich. Randy although admit he's handsome, he doesn't like him. He's a bully.

"S-sorry..." Randy said, being socially awkward as always. Nomi huffed and just walk away. Randy sighed and hot to his seat, starting his normal day.

Recess came up and Randy is waiting for his friends, Theresa, Howard, and Debbie. While waiting he slowly eats his lunch box his mom had prepared for him. A simple onigiri filled with chicken. Yummy. He finished his lunch when his friends finally arrived. They looked hurt.

"Hey, what happened?" Randy asked gently. Theresa sighed as she tried to stop her bleeding hand. Theresa always sees Randy as her brother and same goes to Randy seeing Theresa as a sister.

"A few bullies bullied us for being softie, and Howard's sister, Heidi the brat just straight up hurting us. We couldn't do anything besides getting away..." She explained briefly. Randy felt sorry and shares his lunch with them. They don't deserve pain.

"It's okay, guys. I'm sure it'll be over soon." Randy said. They all nod and continued their lunch, not realizing that Nomi has been looking at them before leaving the cafeteria.

School is almost over and Randy is in the bathroom to wash himself up. It didn't take long until Bash the bully jock punched him in the guts, making Randy coughing up blood from his mouth.

"Aw, look at this softie! Hahahahahaha!" Randy couldn't stand up. He was too much in pain. One more punch from Bash and he might die. Bash was about to when someone hit him from behind, making him fell fainted. Randy looked up to see Nomi with a baseball bat. He looked angry.
