Y/N'S POV

Saturday, June 6

The exams were over and we were all waiting for our results to come out. I was running in the hallways with Harry, Ron and Hermione. They asked me if I wanted to help them try and stop Buckbeak's execution.

At the beginning of the year, in Hagrid's class; Care Of Magical Creatures, Buckbeak slightly injured Draco. Even though, he clearly provoked the hippogriff, Draco complained about it to his father. Lucius being a powerful influence in the Wizarding World made Buckbeak get sentenced to death.

"Come on guys! We're going to miss it." Harry said, ahead of us.

I saw Draco turn the corner of the hallway.

"Y/N! Where are you going?" He asked.

"Can we talk later?" I said, out of breath, trying to catch up on Harry.

He started running with me.

"Why are you running?" He asked Hermione and Ron.

"We're trying to correct your dumb actions, Malfoy!" Hermione said.

"What do you mean?"

"It's Buckbeak!" I said to him.

"About that... I'm sorry. I didn't mean to."

Hermione rolled her eyes.

We kept running, until we arrived to Hagrid's hut.

"Malfoy, I think you should stay outside. Hagrid doesn't need to see you right now, since you kind of sentenced Buckbeak to death." Harry said to him.

"Sure." He replied dryly.

"I'll stay with you." I said to Draco.

The golden trio made their way into the hut, leaving Draco and I next to Buckbeak.

I started petting him.

"Good hippogriff." I said, gently.

"I'm sorry..." Draco mumbled.

"I'm not the one you should be apologizing to." I said with a soft tone and sorry eyes.

We saw Dumbledore, Fudge and a man with a really sharp and big axe walk down to Hagrid's hut.

We tried hinting to our friends inside, that they were coming, but it didn't work, so we started throwing rocks at them. They finally picked up on it and left by the side door.

We hid behind a little hill and heard Hagrid say his goodbyes to Buckbeak.

"Buckbeak is a good hippogriff, always cleaned his feathers." We heard him say, sobbing.

The time had come and we heard the loud sound of the heavy axe land on Buckbeak's neck and snap it. All the crows that were usually hanging out around the hut flew away quickly, making awful sounds.

"Happy now?" Harry asked Draco, looking rather mad and hurt.

"Potter, I swear, I didn't mean to. I was mad and didn't think about what I was doing."

"Save it Malfoy." Hermione spitted.

I was about to say something, but Scabbers bit Ron's finger and ran away. Weasley ran after him and finally got hold of the rat.
