TWENTY FOUR

"Hello dear mother."

Ella sat up as soon as she heard the voice. Her voice.

"Did you miss me?" She asked and Ella looked away. "Aww, no need to be rude."

"I hate you." Ella replied. "Who sent you, Amara? Who sent you to hurt me? Your mother?"

"I thought you said you weren't my mother?" Amara asked.

"Please, I'm sorry. You...you need to really let me go. Please. I've been here for...for a week. Please." Ella begged.

"You're so pathetic mother." Amara said and laughed. "You have a visitor, though."

The door opened slightly and a familiar figure walked into the room. She was very very familiar.

"Miss Okoro..." Ella muttered, her breathing heavy. "You bitch!"

"You can still talk, huh?" She asked her and spat in Ella's face.

"Have fun." Amara said and walked out.

"You bought my daughter. You washed her mind. You..." Ella started and grabbed her clothes. 

"I never knew that you could be so helpless, Ella Coker. Wow. This is great." She said and giggled.

She grabbed Ella's neck and Ella struggled to breathe.

"Let me go this instant." Ella struggled to say.

"You're not the boss lady here anymore. I am. You know." Amaka chuckled. "I'm the boss lady now, Ella fúcking Coker!"

She let Ella go and she fell down with a thud.  She bowed her head and nodded. She didn't know what else to do.

"Well, I'm going to take over your man, my man! Then take over the Coker enterprise."

Ella smiled inwardly. Only she knew what was going to happen to that company if anything happened to her.

"My company has nothing to do with bloody bitches like you. Let it be."

"You won't tell me what to do, Coker! I've warned you." Amaka snapped and grabbed her chin.

"You're under me. Remember that." She said and walked away from her. "Enjoy your life for now. You'll be dead by this time tomorrow. I promise you."

"I'm going to your man now, Ella. I'll make sure I'm in his bed. You'll see."

With that she walked out on her.

Ella heaved a sigh. When she was sure the door was closed and she brought out the mobile phone she had taken from Amaka's pocket.

She closed her eyes while trying to remember something. She quickly typed on the screen and hacked into the phone. She smiled and typed quickly.

God help me!

Robert smacked his forehead for the umpteenth time. Bayo was sitting with Angela in his arms. She was sleeping while Bayo stared into space.

Angela's phone beeped. She stirred from her sleep and sat up quickly. She opened her phone to see a text message.

Unknown number:
"Angie, this is Ella Coker. I was taken by Amara and her boyfriend. Alert Robert. Amaka is the sole perpetrator. She's on her way there. Think of a way to catch her. I've put this phone's location on. Please track and find me...I don't even know where I am. But I know you guys will find me. If I'm dead, do what I asked you to do. Love you all."

"No!" Angela screamed and the guys looked at her. 

"What is it?" Bayo asked, holding her shoulders. She refused to speak and Bayo read the message.

"Oh my God. Ella...she..."

"What the fúck happened to Ella?" Robert asked.

"She's alive but being held captive by Amara and her boyfriend. The person who's paying them is Miss Okoro and she is on her way here to see you." Bayo said in a rush.

"What the..."

The door bell rung.

Angela stood up and went to the door. She peeped through the key hole and turned back to look at the guys. She raised up her right thumb and opened the door.

"Hi. Can I see Robert?" Amaka asked.

Angela hissed and walked back to her chair.

"What are you doing here?" Robert asked her.

"To see you, of course. I want to know how you are doing. You must be sad since, Coker was declared missing. I'm so sorry." Amaka said and held his hand.

Bayo looked at him and signalled for him to be calm.

Since she wants to play, let the games begin.
