I had been staring at the four walls surrounding me for too long. Still trying to process how Duke had behaved towards me earlier. He promised that we would go back to my house and get some clothes for. What changed?

Being kept as prisoner made me feel lonely and depressed. I wasn't sure how much more could be taken. Yes, my life was hard, but this was the biggest challenge yet. Freedom wasn't even guaranteed at this point either. Would this be the rest of my life now?

Deciding that sitting down and throwing a pity party wouldn't get me anywhere. I decided to exercise to try and take my mind off the current events. I loved practicing yoga although my clothes weren't fit for the occasion and I have gotten a lot weaker, but I need this to help calm myself. Hopefully, I can hear Duke coming in and make myself look modest in time. God knows what he would think if he saw me in some awkward yoga position.

Stretching out on the floor, I started by warming up. I was naturally flexible, but always liked to push myself further by exercising it daily. Bringing my legs out in front of me then straddling out the side, I made sure to focus on my breathing so I could get into the stretches easier. Bringing my body forward until my nose made contact with the carpet. I relaxed and stayed in the pose, enjoying the pain of the stretch. It was the most feeling I had in a while.

I was unaware of how much time had passed. Slowly, I started to feel more relaxed and calmer. The events from the past twenty four hours weren't bothering me as much anymore.

"Well this is quite a sight." A voice comments from behind me.

A shriek comes out of my mouth and I fall out of the downward dog pose. I hadn't heard Duke coming through the door.

I place a hand over my heart. "Fuck, you scared me."

"Such foul language from such a pretty mouth." He drawls.

"You scared me!" I repeat. "I think that gives me an excuse."

"It's such an unladylike thing to swear." Duke teases.

"Duke, I don't care."

"Hmmm."

"What?"

"I came to tell you that we're leaving to collect your clothes but if you're busy I'll come back later." He starts to walk off.

I quickly scramble up and lunge for him. "Wait, I'm not busy."

He turns back and gives me a big smirk. "Well then you better get in my car."

A huge grin is plastered on my face as I run to the car. Even though I had only been stuck inside the house for a few hours, the cabin fever I felt made it feel like years.

"Slow down Abbie." Duke warns as if I was a three year old.

Continuing to run, I ignored his request. If anything I started to speed up. Excitement had got the better of me.

Suddenly two big hands grab around my waist. Pulling me back and securing me in a tight grip.

A frustrated whine comes out of my mouth and I try to struggle out of his grip.

"I would stop doing that if I were you, unless you want to see the consequences." A soft pair of lips warn next to my ear.

That was when I felt it, something digging into my back. Something that I had caused. I felt my cheeks burn to a fierce red when I realised what it was. I refused to meet his gaze out of embarrassment.

"I told you to stop running and to slow down, you didn't listen." Duke starts. "I have a right mind to take you back inside and go there myself."

"Please don't do that. I want to come with you." I plead.
