My brothers and I had been laying low for a few days now. Waiting for all the possible Bratva safe-houses to be exposed. It was a long and gruelling process but one that would hopefully be successful in the end.

Since Pavel's outburst, I had not heard from him since. It was currently taking all my possible restraint to not repeatedly call him and demand Abbie's location. I knew that it would not get me anywhere and Pavel would be more likely to withhold the information. Dragging out this already gruelling process.

Every day that passed was precious time that could be spent attempting to locate Abbie. Currently, we had Evan and Lucas locating all the current and new safe houses owned by the Bratva. It was a time-consuming process with only two people on the job but we couldn't afford to put rookies on it. If the Bratva got any wind of us scoping out their locations, who even knows what they would do.

In total, eight safe houses had been found so far. I knew that there was many more but finding them would take more time that we didn't have. Soon I would have to start putting my men on the line and getting them to spy on the area during nightfall. Pavel was not stupid by any chance and would not do anything around the area in broad daylight.

I could tell that my men were itching for some action. Being cooped up for days on end and being told to lay low does not sit well with them. It would be foolish to start the next plan too early but I didn't want my brothers to loose the plot.

A loud smash of a glass and a roar echoes through the building. It seemed they were loosing their minds already.

The main club area was full of my brothers. Most of them staying sober and vigilant. One of them on the other hand was completely wasted and ready to start a fight.

"James," I call out, creating an eerie silence in the room.

"What the fuck do you want pres?" He snides, spitting on the floor.

"I suggest you watch your tongue when speaking to me and sober up quickly."

He takes five wobbly steps and meets me nose to nose. He was trying to portray himself as threatening but his drunk manner made him anything but.

"Fuck. You." He smirks, trying to gain a reaction out of me.

"Jacob and Michael, take him to the cells. I'm sure he can sober up in there overnight."

They both immediately step into action and grab him by either arm. Swiftly, he's carted away from the crowd and brought through the door that leads to the basement.

"I understand that this situation is anything but fun, but we need to stay vigilant and sane. Abbie's life is on the line here and I would like to bring her back safely. Soon we will move and start spying on the Bratva's safe houses."

I don't wait for their reply before leaving the room. Lately, I had been spending more and more time away from my brothers and sulking about the loss of my newborn child. The memories brought me straight back to my childhood. A time that I never wanted to remember.

"Duke!" Evan's panicked expression greets me in the corridor.

"What?"

"You need to come with me now."

"What's happened?" Unease started to settle in my chest.

"Abbie's on the phone."

Abbie was on a phone?

Surely not.

"What the fuck are you waiting for? Show me"

I follow directly after Evan to his office. Lucas sits on the other side of the room with a phone on speaker.
