I scrubbed the counter vigoursly, attempting to remove any evidence of yesterdays party. My brother Mason was terrible for visiting every once in a while and throwing huge parties, inviting many people I didn't know or want in my house.
It was becoming a daily occurrence and I was slowly loosing my patience with it. It was preferred that my house was clean and tidy with everything placed specifically where I wanted.
Unable to bear much more, I stormed up the stairs to confront my brother. It was unbelievable that he was still soundly asleep in bed while I slaved away trying to clean the horrible state of my house!
"Mason!" I screamed, dramatically swinging the door open until it hit the wall with a bang. I inwardly cringed at the contact it made; this was my house after all.
As I gazed inside, it was there I saw he wasn't alone. A skinny blonde woman lay next to him, wearing nothing but the bedsheet to cover any dignity.
"Abbie, fuck off." He moans, hungover.
"Who's the pushover?" The blonde woman questions, looking me up and down with disgust.
I suddenly felt vulnerable standing in the doorway, wearing clothes I had bought from the second hand store. It was all I could afford right now, and I made do with it.
"You need to get out of my house!" I yell.
"Mason, baby." She flirts, awkwardly moving to straddle his hips. "Tell her I don't need to leave. This is your house after all."
Mason lets out a huge breath, clearly just as done with the situation as me. "Look blondie."
"My name is Millie!" She seethes, death staring him down.
"Yeah, I don't care." He dismisses. "We had an average fuck and all, but you need to leave."
"Average?" Millie replies, dumbfounded. "You were amazing, can I at least have your number?"
"No, I don't do phone numbers, you can go now."
"You asshole!"
Both of them were oblivious to me perching in the doorway. Their conversation was going on for too long, I just wanted her out of my house. It looked as though she was going to take her sweet time. Attempting to get Mason's number at every possible chance. Although it was entertaining at Millie's desperation, I knew that Mason would never give his number over to some random woman. To him, they were just holes to fuck.
Mason, who was desperate to go back to sleep, tries rolling back over making a huge job of it due to Millie straddling his hips.
Eventually, Millie got the hint and grudgingly got out of bed. Whispering curses and insults about Mason while collecting her clothing.
As she got changed, I noticed that she had the most amazing body, she worked hard for it. It made me feel self-conscious; my skinny body was nowhere near as good looking.
"Just wondering." I try to distract myself. "Do you have any diseases? I might need to wash the bedsheets, that's all.
"You bitch!" Millie shrieks, running straight towards me.
Throughout my life I had been a lot of things but being stupid was not one of them. It wouldn't take a genius to figure out I was about to be attacked by some idiot that couldn't take a snide comment. The only thing my mind could comprehend at that moment, was to stick my leg out, making her fall flat on her fragile face.
"How dare you!" She roars, nursing her nose.
"Blondie, I want to sleep. Leave!" Mason groans.
