After the Hazbin Hotel had been rebuilt following the war with Adam and his Exorcists. Everything seemed to be quiet. Well, almost quiet. After learning about her family curse from Adam, (Y/n) didn't want to speak to her grandfather. He hid a terrible secret from her, and she couldn't bring herself to continue sword training with him. The others were beginning to worry about the young demoness, but Alastor was glad that his daughter wasn't being separated from him.

(Y/n) was in the lounge playing a board game with Razzle and Frank. Cerise, Garnet, Fat Nuggets, and KeeKee were sitting beside them, watching the game. (Y/n) rolled the dice and moved six spaces. "Your turn, Razzle." She handed her little buddy the dice. Razzle rolled the dice and moved four spaces. As they were continuing their game, the others came to talk to (Y/n).

"(Y/n), you sure you're okay with being at the hotel by yourself? You can come with me and Vaggie to hang up some posters to advertise the hotel." Charlie gave a small smile as Vaggie held up some posters. "Nah, I'm good. I got these guys to keep me company." (Y/n) smiled as she pointed to her little friends.

"Are you sure, kiddo? I can use some help with my errands." Husk joined in. "Guys, I'm okay. Really." (Y/n) assured them. Seeing that the teenage girl won't budge, everyone decided to leave (Y/n) back at the hotel. Everyone was going in their own groups to complete their errands faster. Husk, Angel, Niffty, and Cherri were going out to restock on some booze. Vaggie, Charlie, and Lucifer were heading into the city to put up the posters. Last, Alastor was going to Cannibal Town to check in on Rosie and her people. Once they were all gone, (Y/n) turned to her little buddies. "You guys want to have a picnic?" Hearing the word "picnic", Razzle and Frank ran off to the kitchen. Within seconds, they came back with a basket of food. (Y/n) smiled at them, and then they all headed to the roof of the hotel.

Once on top of the roof, (Y/n) set up the blanket, food, and a radio under the tree she had added to the roof. Ever since they were rebuilding the hotel, (Y/n) added her own personal touches. She added a small garden area with a tree and a swing hanging from. Once everything was set up, they all enjoyed their little picnic. (Y/n) smiled at her little pals enjoying their food, but still couldn't help but feel pain from the war. She tries to keep smiling like her dad told her. Because in her mind, crying is a weakness that she doesn't like others to see. Whenever she smiles, it's like the pain goes away. After all, she learned how to fake a smile way before she met Alastor and the others. A person who can feel pain for a long time can learn a trick or two to make everyone believe that she's fine.

(Y/n) didn't even realize that she had tears in her eyes until Razzle and Frank walked up to her. Cerise, Garnet, Fat Nuggets, and KeeKee cuddled up to her. She quickly wipes away her tears. "I'm okay, guys. Really." Her little pals weren't convinced. "Guys, I am. Trust me." She takes a deep breath and lets it out. "I...I just miss Dazzle...the other eggs...and Pen..." (Y/n) wipes away more tears that were coming from her eyes. She allowed her little pals to cuddle up to her. She guessed that she needed the hug.

After calming down, (Y/n) was reading a book on her swing while her little buddies were napping on the blanket. They had the radio on to listen to some peaceful music. When (Y/n) turned the page of her book, she suddenly stared at the charms on her bracelet. The one that Sir Pentious gave her was a screw from one of his failed inventions.

Flashback starts

(Y/n) stared at Sir Pentious as he was working on his latest invention. "Uh, Pen? I thought Vaggie said no more weapons." She crossed her arms at him. "Not to worry, (Y/n). This is no weapon. I am inventing a new light show device for parties." Sir Pentious smiled. He was tightening the last of the screws to his invention. He turns on the machine, and the lights and music begin to play.
