Inside Carmilla's mansion, everyone was sitting at a table, along with her daughters joining them. "So why did you bring us here, Ms. Carmine?" (Y/n) asked. "I was actually hoping to speak to you only, but I see you were accompanied by your friends." Carmilla eyed (Y/n)'s friends. "If it's something for (Y/n), we can stay! Because we are besties!" Glenn wrapped his arms around his group of friends. "I think I can handle this, guys." (Y/n) looked over her friends. "Are you sure, (N/n)?" Tempest asked. (Y/n) nodded at them. "I can handle anything."
Then her friends walked out to wait for her. "Don't let Glenn get into any trouble!" (Y/n) warned. "No promises!" Trooper answered. Once they left, it was just the two and Carmilla's daughters.
"I've heard what happened between you and your grandfather. He is beginning to worry about you." Carmilla spoke up. "Oh, great. Not you too." (Y/n) crossed her arms. "Look, you can tell Grandpa I don't want to train with him for a while. I'm still mad at him for keeping this "family secret" from me." (Y/n) air quoted. "Yes, I understand what is angering you, but I actually have something in mind for you." Carmilla spoke. This caught (Y/n)'s attention.
Seeing that she won't be training with her grandfather for a while, Carmilla proposes that (Y/n) trains with her for a while. (Y/n) was skeptical about it, but if it means that she doesn't have to train with her grandfather, then what's the harm? (Y/n) accepts Carmilla's offer. After discussing that (Y/n) will be beginning her training the next day, Carmilla went to walk (Y/n) out.
Once outside, (Y/n) noticed that one of her friends was missing. She walked over to Tempest and Trooper. "Where's Glenn?" She asked. Trooper held up one finger, signaling her to wait. From a distance, everyone heard a car alarm going off as the car was driving by. Driving the car was Glenn, who was whooping and laughing as he drove the car around. "Is that one of your cars?" (Y/n) asked the Overlord. Carmilla slowly shakes her head no. "Good, that means we don't have to pay you back." (Y/n) then summoned a black tendril and pulled Glenn out of the car before it could crash.
(Y/n) turned to Tempest and Trooper. "I told you guys to keep him out of trouble." Trooper crossed his arms. "And I said no promises."
Carmilla walked over to (Y/n). "Remember, (Y/n). Your training starts tomorrow." (Y/n) nodded at Carmilla before she left with her friends.
The next day, (Y/n) was standing outside Carmilla's home. She knocked on the door. "Ms. Carmine! I'm here!" The doors open for her, with Carmilla waiting for her. In her hands, she had some clothing that (Y/n) would be changing into. "You will be using this clothing for your training." She guided (Y/n) into an empty room. "You may change in here." Once Carmilla left, (Y/n) changed into the clothing she was given.

Once she was done changing, Carmilla started her training. First, she started with how she fared in her scythe. Carmilla wanted to see how (Y/n) handles both her scythe and sword in combat. She noticed that (Y/n) is quite skilled with her scythe. She then had (Y/n) change weapons. (Y/n) grabbed the sword that Carmilla had gifted her.
