[name] had always been someone who had thought he would never find love. He had tried but more times then not the guy he would like, was a straight, homophobic prick. He eventually gave up. He didn't approach guys and just stayed in the background.

That was until Brian came into his life. The blonde man had taken [name] by surprise with how forward he was with his flirting and making his attraction known.

[name] had no idea how to react around him. He had never had someone be this forward with him before and he would always end up a stuttering mess (much to his best friend, Dom's amusement). Though as the time went on, he got more and more comfortable with the flirting. His attraction to Brian grew more everyday until they couldn't hold themselves back from each other.

They had been at one of Dom's parties before the pair decided to leave with each other. [name] hadn't been planning for them to have sex but the second they had entered his house, Brian had kissed him and any thought he had went out the window. Clothes were thrown off and they spent a passionate night together.

That brings [name] to where he was now, laying naked in his bed with a naked Brian cuddled into his chest. He had fallen asleep with a smile on his face and that smile was still there.

Sometime during the night, [name] woke up, only to notice the blonde was no longer in his arms, leaving him cold. He rubbed at his eyes and sat up, wondering where he ran off to. He looked over at the clock and took notice that it was three a.m. Way to early to be awake.

He yawned and stretched his arms above his head before swinging his legs over the other side of the bed, slipping his boxers up his legs and standing up. The bathroom was connected to his bedroom so he could see Brian wasn't in there.

He left his room and walked down the hallway to his living room, hearing quiet whispers. He stopped just by the door and rubbed his eyes again. "Brian? Is everything okay?" He questioned.

Brian quickly dropped the phone from his ear and turned to look at him. "Huh? Oh, yeah. I just got a call from a friend. There in a different time zone so they didn't realise how late it was." He lied with ease.

"Oh." [name] said with relief. "I was beginning to think you ditched me." A tired smile spread across his lips.

Brian shook his head. "Unfortunately, you're not going to be able to get rid of me now."

"Good because I don't want you to go." He mumbled and rubbed the back of his neck. He was still awkward when it came to talking about his true feelings.

"I'm nearly done here. Go back to bed. I'll be there soon." Brian said, dragging his eyes up and down [name]'s half naked body and biting his lip. "Promise."

"Okay." [name] agreed and turned back around. "But hurry up. It's cold in there." He mumbled just before he left, heading back to the room and getting under the thin blankets.

The smile Brian had dropped from his lips and a heavy weight rested on his shoulders. With hesitation he lifted the phone back to ear, keeping his eyes on the entrance in case [name] decided to come back in. He couldn't let him hear any of the conversation. "Okay, I'm back."

There was a silence on the other end before a voice spoke, "I hope you haven't forgotten why you're there, O'Conner. Remember, this is nothing more then an assignment. Don't go getting to close to the suspects."

The words shot a cold spark through the undercover cop and he clenched his hand around his phone. How could he forget? It's all he ever thought about. "I haven't forgotten. I take my job seriously. You know that."

There was a hum on the other end. "I just feel as if I have to remind you. Don't go doing something stupid because of some crook. He's not worth losing your job."

Brian held back a scoff. When he first started on this assignment, he never intended to get this close to [name]. Become friends? Sure. Become lovers? No. It had been something that had just happened and now Brian was all sorts of confused. He knew [name] wasn't some squeaky clean guy and he done stuff that would land him in prison.

That's why Brian was undercover. To get him to confess about what he did but now Brian hoped he never confessed... because that meant he could stay here with him longer but even if he did confess, would Brian be able to turn him in? To tell him the truth and break his heart?

"I know that." Brian snapped. "Look, don't worry about a thing. I have everything under control." Those lying skills he had sure did come in handy. "I'll call you when I have an update." He hung up without hearing the reply. He turned his phone off so he couldn't receive anymore calls and put it on the table.

He had definitely got himself in a fucked up situation. He walked away from the living room and went back to the bedroom to see [name] had already fallen back to sleep and was clutching the blankets to his chest. He was a very cute sleeper.

Brian smiled softly and moved over to him, pulling the blankets back and getting back into the bed. He wrapped his arm around [name]'s waist and put his head back on his chest, listening to the sounds of his heartbeat. [name] had made mistakes but he was a good guy and he didn't deserve what Brian was doing to him.

He was a guy that Brian had fallen for and the cop had no clue what he was going to do.
