[name] opened the front door when he heard knocking coming from it. "Elena? I didn't know you were coming over?" He said. She didn't reply and just walked in, a stressed out look in her eyes. "Woah, are you okay?"
"No, I am not okay." She answered. He followed her into his living room. He was home alone so he didn't have to worry about his parents listening.
"What's wrong?" He asked softly.
She turned to face him and ran a hand through her hair. "You, you are what's wrong with me!"
Now he was even more confused. "What did I do?" He asked with his eyebrows furrowed.
"You... you..." She shook her head. "You make me so freaking confused." She revealed.
"I have to be honest. You're making me really confused right now." He said slowly.
"Me and you, we have been best friends since we were kids but... it's not just that anymore. You and me... we have something. Something that's more then just friends." She was scared to look at him but at the same time she couldn't look away. She needed to see his reaction to what she was saying.
He just stood there. "What do you mean?" Was all he could say. He needed her to explain herself more so he didn't say the wrong thing.
"I mean that I have feelings for you. I have for years and I know you feel something for me back. I don't want to pretend anymore. Not being honest with you... it sucks and I needed to tell you... before I lost you to someone else."
"Elena... I - I had no idea. I mean... what about Stefan?"
"I only flirted with him to make you jealous." Elena sighed. "But it didn't work."
"Are you kidding me? Of course it worked. I was out of my mind jealous when I saw you together."
"Why didn't you ever say anything?" She whispered.
"Because I felt I didn't have the right." He laughed at himself. "You gave me all the signs and I was too stupid to take a hint."
"Are you still too stupid to take a hint?" She questioned with a small smile.
"Not anymore." The next thing he knew his legs were taking him over and he was kissing her.
And they didn't stop kissing, not until a couple hours later where they were both laying naked in bed and holding each other, thinking about how lucky they were to finally be with the person they wanted.
