Elena was surprised when she walked into her room to see [name] standing there. The vampire who was Damon's best friend. He and Elena didn't really get on so imagine her surprise when she saw him there.
"What are you doing here?"
As soon as she spoke, he looked away from the window, his eyes were full on confusion and frustration. "Why did you stop me from going to see Klaus tonight?"
Now it was her eyes that were full of confusion. "Huh?"
He stepped away from the window and closer to her. "Tonight. I was going to go find find Klaus, try and strike a deal with him to leave town but you stopped me from going. Why?"
She shook her head and crossed her arms. "You came to my house to ask me why I didn't want you to go see a hybrid that could easily kill you?" She said like it was obvious.
"Yes, that's exactly what I did."
"Look, I'm tired. Can you leave so I can go to bed?" She tried to walk around him but he blocked her and she sighed in frustration. "Seriously?"
"I'm not leaving until you tell me why. Come on, Elena. You hate me, I thought you wanted to see me killed. Klaus is an easy way for that to happen."
"I don't hate you and I don't want to see you killed!" She shouted slightly. "I didn't want to see you get hurt, okay? I was... I was worried about you. There are you happy I said it now."
He backed away from her with a smile. "Was that so hard to admit? You care about me." He laughed and ran a hand through his hair. "What would Stefan think?"
She narrowed her eyes at him and scoffed. "Just because I care about you doesn't mean I'm in love with you." She huffed.
"I don't know it's pretty hard not to fall in love with me." He said with a smirk. She rolled her eyes and got behind him, starting to push him out the door. "Okay, okay, I'm going. Let you get your beauty sleep."
She got him to the door before walking back towards her bed.
"Hey Elena?" He said, making her look back over at him. "I, uh, I guess I care about you to."
Before she could respond he was gone from her eyesight. That night as she tried to get to sleep, her thoughts were all about him and she couldn't stop thinking about him. Maybe her feelings for him were a little more intense then she once thought.
