Louis leaned back against the wall, eyes narrowed in an angry glare as he watched the two interact.
Legoshi had really been getting on his nerves lately. Especially because the wolf couldn't seem to keep his hands off of [name]. A fox that just so happened to be hooking up with Louis. But no one knew of that little fact. It was a secret affair. Carnivores and herbivores hooking up wasn't exactly accepted and Louis wanted to avoid the drama that would come if people found out.
But just because people didn't know, didn't mean he wanted [name] to flirt and hook up with other people. He had no right to hold the jealousy he did but he couldn't help it. He had a possessiveness of [name] and it wasn't going away anytime soon.
He watched as [name] laughed loudly and Legoshi looked towards the ground with a small smile. Louis could practically smell the desire coming from the wolf. He stayed by the wall, continuing to watch until [name] walked away, leaving Legoshi to stand by himself with that same stupid smile on his face.
Louis immediately walked over to him with his head held high, a sneer on his face. "Wolf." He sneered as soon as he reached him. Legoshi looked at him in confusion, wondering what he did to receive such a rude greeting. "I don't know what you think you are doing but I happen to know that [name] is taken by a friend of mine. So it would be best for all of us if you stayed away from him."
"What? He didn't tell me he was seeing someone." Legoshi said sadly. "Who is it?"
Louis rolled his eyes. "They're a private couple and I'm not going around spreading their information. Just thought I would give you a warning. You have no chance with him and my friend will get really angry if you don't stop. You don't want to mess with him." He warned.
"If I had known... I wouldn't..." Legoshi sighed. "I understand. Tell your friend I'm sorry." His once good mood now gone, Legoshi sulked as he walked away.
As soon as his back was turned, Louis let a smirk overcome his face. Now that that was done, he could relax and not worry about Legoshi.
For the rest of the day, Louis did what he needed to do in a much better mood. That night he and [name] had planned to see each other again in a motel that was near the school. The motel was pretty shady but it was the only place they could go to where herbivores and carnivores were accepted to be together.
As the night came around, Louis went to the motel and waited in the room by himself since he was the first one there. He leaned his hands back against the bed and stared at the door in anticipation. He frowned as he turned his head to the clock. [name] was late. [name] was never late. Five minutes, ten minutes, fifteen minutes passed before the door finally opened and Louis got off from the not so comfortable bed. "Where have you been? You're late." Louis snapped. Instead of looking apologetic, [name] had a smug smile on his face. "What are you smiling about? I'm angry."
"Oh, I was late because Legoshi wanted to talk to me." He replied simply. Louis narrowed his eyes. Had the stupid wolf not listened to him and went after [name] anyway? "He wanted to say sorry for making my mate upset. Said you had talked to him about it." He walked over to Louis. "You know, I never thought you were the jealous type."
"I wasn't jealous." Louis lied. "I mean - "
"You don't have to explain yourself." [name] said and gently took his hand in his larger one. "You could have just told me you didn't want me hooking up with other people, not that I have been."
"I don't have any right to tell you that. We're not together. We're just having fun with each other, right?" Louis questioned, looking into the eyes of the fox he promised himself he wouldn't grow feelings for.
"That's what it was supposed to be. Somehow, I don't think either of us want that. You don't think I get jealous to? Every time I see Haru need you, I feel so jealous I have to walk away otherwise I would do something I regret. I hate seeing you around her." [name] explained and Louis listened to every word carefully. "And I have no problem being with you, exclusively. Because that means You're mine and only mine. As I am yours."
The words were everything Louis wanted to hear but he still had that sense of hesitance in him. He shook his head and took his hand away from [name]'s. He couldn't think properly when they were that close together. "We can't be together like that."
"Why not?" [name] asked exasperated and every time he tried to take a step closer to Louis, the other male would take a step back, keeping that same distance between them. "I don't understand you! We both want this. I'm telling you you can have me but you're rejecting me. Why?"
"You know why!" Louis said, throwing his arms up in frustration. "I'm a herbivore and you're a carnivore. We're not supposed to be together. It's not right."
"It's not right? You haven't been thinking that the past couple months while we've been hooking up!" He growled back. "Just tell the truth, Louis! You're ashamed to be with a carnivore because you know people would judge you. You care so much about what other people think that you hide me away like some dirty little secret while telling everyone else that they can't have me!"
"Why are you pushing this?! You really want people to know so they can stare at us with disgust? Why does everyone have to know about us in order for you to be happy?"
"You know what would make me happy, Louis? For the guy that I'm in love with to not be ashamed of me. To actually be proud to be my boyfriend." [name] said, his hands clenched by his sides. Louis was in shock that [name] just confessed his love for him. "I can't do this anymore."
"What?"
"You have to decide what's more important to you. Your reputation or me."
"Don't leave." Louis said as [name] made his way back towards the door.
[name] put his hand on the handle and looked at him over his shoulder. "I'm not going to be your dirty little secret anymore." He said firmly before he left, closing the door behind him. The silence of the room was overwhelming and Louis fell back onto the bed, putting his face in his hands and whining.
