Caroline giggles loudly as she listened to another one of [name]'s jokes. In all honestly, they really weren't that good and he knew that but hearing Caroline laugh made him continue. He felt like the best comedian in the world sitting next to her.
"You're hilarious." The blonde said, tilting her head to look at him. She had the biggest crush on him, had since they were kids and she relished any alone time they could spend together. She had told him of his feelings but he rejected her, saying her only wanted them to be friends. Her feelings didn't go away though and she helped one day he would fall for her the same way she had for him.
"You're just easily humoured." He said playfully. He grabbed the burger in front of him and took a bite. To anyone else it would look like they were on a date.
"Hey..." She leaned over the table and smacked him in the arm.
"Ow." He whined even though it hadn't hurt one bit. "You're always so mean to me."
"You can handle it tough guy." She giggled again. How she wished this was an actual date and not just two friends hanging out. Her mood instantly dropped when Elena came walked over to them.
"Hey [name], hey Caroline." She greeted with a kind smile. They said their greetings back before she turned her attention to [name]. "I'm really sorry to ask this of you again but would you be able to spend the night at mine?"
Caroline furrowed her eyebrows and looked between them jealousy. Since when had he been spending his nights with Elena?
"I really can't handle Stefan and Damon anymore and I don't want to be alone." She said honestly. Damon and Stefan were just too much and she couldn't handle all the coddling they did to her. [name] was the opposite and she actually had fun with him. Plus he was a hybrid so if there was any danger, which it seemed she was always around, he could handle it.
"Yeah! That sounds great!" He said enthusiastically. "I can bring a bunch of movies over. We can make a night of it since we don't have school tomorrow." He also enjoyed spending time with Elena. She was another one of his best friends.
"Thank you. I really appreciate this." She put her hand on his shoulder and he smiled up at her.
Caroline's Face was basically red with anger as she clenched her fists tightly by her side. She didn't want to say anything rude but if Elena didn't get her hands off [name] she didn't know if she would be able to control herself. "Have you two been having a lot of sleepovers?"
