[name] stood outside the Swan household after knocking on the door. He waited patiently, swinging back and forwards on his feet until the door opened and he was greeted with Charlie Swan. "Hey, Sheriff!" He said cheerily.
His bright attitude brought a smile to Charlie's face. This kid was always energetic and happy. "Morning, [name]. You here to take Bella out again?"
[name] hummed and nodded his head as Charlie moved out of the way to let him inside. "Sure am. She wants to take me somewhere today. Tells me it's a surprise. I couldn't even get one hint out of her. She's stubborn your daughter is." He laughed.
Charlie agreed with that wholeheartedly. [name] had been coming around a lot lately for Bella and Charlie was so thankful. He had really gotten Bella out of her slump since that Cullen boy left. Finally he had been seeing his daughter smile and laugh and it was all thanks to [name]. "Have fun. I gotta head down to the station. Don't get into any trouble."
"No promises!" [name] called after the old man jokingly. He jogged up the stairs and knocked on Bella's door before entering. "You ready to go, beautiful?" It was a nickname he always found himself calling her and he loved the reaction he got. A light blush covered her cheeks.
"Ready." She confirmed.
"Are you going to tell me where we are going yet?" He asked with hope in his eyes as they exited her room and walked back down the stairs.
"I thought you liked surprises?" She said with a teasing smile.
"Well, I do..." He trailed off. He went to walk towards her car but she grabbed his arm, stopping him.
"We're going through the woods." She explained to him, keeping a gentle hold on his arm as they approached the tall trees that were just behind her house.
"I don't know about this, Bells. We still have that redhead running around." He spoke hesitantly, his eyes glancing around quickly for any sign of her.
"Even if she is around, you'll be there to protect me." She said confidently.
"That's right I will!" He exclaimed with a large smile. "Know vamp can get past me." He playfully nipped at the air, making her laugh. "How far away is this place anyway?"
"Not that far if you run us there."
"Guess it's shifting time." His hands grabbed the ends of his shirt and he pulled it over his head. Next his hands went to his pants, only to stop when he noticed Bella staring at him. "You know, if you wanted to see me naked, all you had to do was ask."
Her mouth opened and she gasped in embarrassment, swinging around to hide her face. "I wasn't - I mean I didn't mean - "
"It's okay, Bells." He said before his booming laugh was heard throughout the forest. "I was just messing with you." He took off the rest of his clothes and shifted into his wolf form. He was a light grey with spots of white all over him, his eyes a light blue.
He whined and that gave Bella the signal to turn around. She walked over to him and ran a hand through his soft fur, feeling a sense of comfort from the action. He let her pet him for a moment before he was bending down low enough to where she could jump onto him.
She gripped onto his fur tightly and swung her legs her him, straddling his back, having his clothes laid out in front of her. He made sure to keep his pace slow, not wanting to go faster then she could handle and have her falling off. He would never forgive himself if she got hurt because of him.
She had completely trust in him though and leaned her head up, feeling the wind blow through her hair. She shouted directions at him, having where she wanted to go engraved in her brain. She would never need a map to get to this place.
Soon she was tugging at his fur more lightly and telling him to slow down as they were nearly there. As he came to a slow walk, he exited an opening through the trees, coming into a clearing that was full of flowers and sun. Assuming that this was the place, he bent down again and she jumped off of him.
She left his clothes next to her and walked more into the clearing, looking around in wonderment. [name] shifted back and only put on his cut off jeans, his body was feeling to hot for a shirt. "So, this is the mysterious place, huh?" He put his hands on his hips.
"Yeah, it's pretty special to me." She said and sat down, the flowers surrounding her body.
He sat down next to her, loving the feel of the son beating down on his chest. "How did you find this place?"
Her eyes moved over to him and she frowned. "Edward took me here." The name made him freeze, anger seeping through his veins. "But I still enjoy coming here. It's beautiful and it clears my head."
"But doesn't it remind you of him?" He hated Edward Cullen with everything in him for what he had done to Bella and what he had put her through. If he ever saw him he didn't know if he would be able to hold himself back from tearing him apart.
"It used to but not anymore. It used to be out place, now it's just mine. I, uh, wanted to bring you here because this place means something to me... and you mean something to me." She said gently.
His eyes softened at her words and he lifted his arm, putting it over her shoulder. "I'm really happy you trusted me enough to share this place with me."
She tilted her head to rest her cheek on his shoulder. "You been there for me and helped me so much. As selfish as it sounds, I'm glad you imprinted on me because I need you in my life. I need you."
"You know I'll always be here for whatever you need me to be. I'll never leave you." He promised. Even the thought of leaving her made him feel like his heart was being ripped out. She was his imprint and that meant they would always be in each others lives.
"Thank you." She whimpered out. Without him, she didn't know where she would be.
"You don't have to thank me." He shook his head and smiled at her playfully. "Don't be getting all sad on me now, Swan. Come on, I wanna see you smile." He moved his hands to lightly tickle at her sides and she screamed out a laugh, trying to push him away.
"[name]! Stop!" She demanded through her laughs. He only stopped when he saw that smile he loved so much. She didn't smile often so when she did, he wanted to capture the moment in his brain.
"You make me smile." She said honestly. "And I - "
He furrowed his eyebrows. "What?"
"And I've fallen in love with you." She said. They were close enough to where their foreheads were touching and he was searching her eyes for any lies. "I want to be with you."
He wanted to be with her to, so badly. She kissed him suddenly, using one of her hand to wind in the back of his hair and the other one to rest on his hot chest. She was kissing him eagerly and breathlessly, a whimper leaving her as his hands roamed up and down her sides but never crossing any boundaries.
"But what about Edward?" He breathed out worriedly. "What if he decides to come back?"
"It doesn't matter because even if he does come back, I choose you. I will always choose you." Edward Cullen was her first love and it would always mean something to her but she had moved on.
"I love you to, Swan." With those words leaving his lips, they were back with their lips locked onto each others and he hovered over her, her back laying on the soft grass.
[name] had cradled her broken heart within his gentle hands and healed it. Her heart belonged to him now.
