[name] was sitting at the bar, drowning his sorrows with a bottle of bourbon. He had just been dumped and the reason was he was too boring. Too boring? What did that even mean? Because he enjoyed being a home and chilling out when he wasn't at work, that made him boring? They didn't know what they were talking about. He scoffed and lifted the bourbon, downing it in one gulp. All he wanted was to get smashed and forget about how boring he was.
Out of the corner of his eye, he saw another male take the seat down the bar, a large frown on his lips and a sour look in his eyes. His expression seemed to match [name]'s and it made the male feel like he wasn't alone. "Bad day?" He questioned the raven haired male.
The male turned his head and [name]'s breath got caught in his throat as his eyes met those of an icy blue. "Bad century." The man replied and [name] laughed, thinking it was a joke. "I'm Damon." The man introduced himself, sliding himself down the bar so they could sit next to each other.
"I'm [name]." He held out his hand and he shook it. "Seems we may be in the same boat." He said and lifted his glass. "What happened to you?"
Damon pursed his lips, deciding there was no harm in venting his problems to this stranger he was probably going to kill later. "I'm in love with my brothers girl."
"Damn. That's quite a predicament." The other male said and took a drink. "I was dumped because I'm too boring."
The sentence made Damon laugh and [name] pouted. It did sound stupid when he said it out loud. "You don't seem to boring to me. It's her loss." Damon shrugged and clinked his glass against the other males.
"His." [name] corrected him.
Damon looked at him out of the corner of his eye. "His." He corrected himself. "Is that why you're here? Trying to prove that you aren't boring?"
"I don't need to prove it. I know I'm not. My ex is just a dick." He scoffed. "Getting drunk didn't sound to bad." He ordered another glass. "Your problem sounded worse then mine. How does one fall in love with their brothers girl."
Damon shrugged. "I didn't want to. I actually came back to town for another girl but turns out, she's a lying, manipulative bitch. Elena is the complete opposite of that."
"She sounds like a special girl. Is she special enough to lose your brother over." If one of [name]'s siblings fell for one of his partners, he didn't know how he would react to it but he knew it wouldn't be good.
Damon looked down at his glass, swirling its contents around. "I think I've already lost him." He shook his head. "But it doesn't matter. She's in love with him. She would never choose me over him. She's made that clear plenty of times. And that's probably a good thing. He's the good brother. He deserves her. I'm the bad one."
"You don't talk to highly of yourself." [name] felt bad for him. He could see the heartbreak surrounding him. "There's only one thing to do about it." He called the bar tender over and told him to leave the bottle. The bill would rack up tonight but it was worth it. He didn't drink often. He lifted the bottle and topped Damon's glass up and his own. "Get drunk and forget about all your troubles."
"I like you already." Damon smirked, downing the whole glass in one gulp and refilling his bottle.
An hour later, the two men were drunk out of their minds but their moods had lifted greatly. They were up to their third bottle and [name] was to drunk to realise he didn't have the money to be able to pay the bill. He could care less. "You know what? You're hot as hell. You could get any girl. Forget about Elena." He slurred his words, waving his hand around.
"But I can't." Damon groaned and put his head on the counter. "I've tried. No matter how many girls I'm with, she's always there. I hate it. She's turned me into some love sick teenage girl."
[name] pat his back for comfort. "Who knows, she may for deeply in love with you and leave saint Stefan behind." He laughed as he said the nickname Damon had been calling his brother. "Everybody knows bad boys are irresistible. She'll be yours in no time." He said confidently.
"You know what I need?" Damon lifted his head. "I need a distraction."
"Don't we all." He laughed again and looked around the nearly empty room. He groaned and threw his head back. "There's no one here to hook up with. I haven't had sex in so long. The closest club is," he furrowed his eyebrows, "so far away."
"You could always come home with me." Damon wiggled his eyebrows before digging his face into his neck. The sound of his pulse pumping entered his ears and his hunger spiked up.
"You want to hook up with me?" [name] smiled excitedly. To confirm his question, Damon lifted his head and kissed him. Since both of them weren't in their right minds, the kiss wasn't the best but it was enough to make [name]'s heart race.
Damon was the one to throw some cash down and he and [name] leaned on each other as they exited the bar. Damon took him around to an alley way and pushed him against the wall, and kissed him. He trailed his kisses down his neck and was prepared to sink his teeth into the skin.
"Thank you, Damon."
"For what?"
"For making me forget about my crappy life for a couple hours. No matter what you think, you're not a bad guy." He said with a lazy smile before his eyes closed and he passed out.
Damon raised his eyebrows, feeling himself sober up. "Why'd you have to go and be nice to me?" He mumbled. He sighed and lifted [name] into his arms. Making sure he had a safe place to sleep for the night was the least he could do after the man took his mind off Elena for a couple hours.
Damon drove them back to the boarding house and picked [name] back up to carry him inside.
"Damon? Who is that? Did you kill another person? Why are you bringing a dead body inside?!" Stefan shouted at his brother.
Damon rolled his eyes. "He's not dead you idiot. Listen to his heart beat. He passed out and he needed a place to stay for the night."
Stefan furrowed his eyebrows as he watched Damon carrying him up the stairs. He wasn't used to seeing his brother he kind to strangers.
Damon went into one of the spare rooms and placed [name] on the bed. "Don't dream about me to much." The vampire said with a smirk before he left the room and went to his own.
After that night, [name] ended up spending many more and eventually the thoughts of Elena left Damon's head and all he could think about was the man he met at the bar.
