"No, no, no, please. You can't do this." [name] cried out, feeling like his whole body was on fire and each second that past it was getting harder to breath. Within his arms was his lover. The man he loved more then life itself, the man who's life was lowly slipping away.
Hide tried to smile up at him but it came out as pained. There was blood running down his chest and he tried to keep himself awake. He wasn't ready to leave just yet. He had to let [name] know everything was going to be alright.
[name] had tears pouring down his face and he leaned his head down so his forehead rested on top of Hide's. "You promised we would grow old together, that we would get married and travel the world. You can't leave me or you'll break your promise." He rushed out.
Hide felt his own heart break, remembering the night they had spent in bed together where they had made all these plans. "I don't want to leave you. I'm sorry." A cough left his lips after and a trickle of blood fell from the corner of his mouth.
"You're my everything, I can't live without you. If you die, then so do I." [name] began to rock back and forth as he spoke. "It's you and me forever."
"No." Hide rushed out, ignoring the pain in his chest. He needed to get these words out. "Listen to me, you are going to live, for me. I'll always be here, watching over you. So, you need to be happy and live for the both of us." The words were a struggle to get out and as soon as he finished a long sigh left his lips.
"I - I can't - I can't."
"Yes, you can. Promise me. Promise me that you won't do anything stupid. You - you have to promise me." The grip Hide had on his hand was getting weaker. "Please."
[name] nodded and looked into his eyes. "I promise." He choked out. He slowly leaned down and pressed a kiss to his cheek and when he lifted himself back up, Hide's eyes stared blankly into him. He was gone.
A loud scream of anguish left his lips and he cradled his lover tightly, begging over and over for him to come back. It never happened. Hide was never coming back.
He lifted his hand and placed it over Hide's eyes, slowly closing them so it simply looked like he was asleep.
"I made you a promise Hide and I will keep it. I will live but I will be waiting for the day I meet you again." He whispered, his throat raw from his crying.
He stayed in the same place with Hide in his arms for god knows how long. He would never be ready to let him go and admit that he was gone.

Authors Note: So I've kind of gone off the rails with how long I want chapters to be. I haven't touched this book in so long because I haven't had the inspiration to write such long chapters. So from now on I'm going to write a chapter for however long I want, and that might be 100 - 2000 words, who knows.
I'm just going to write whatever idea comes to mind.
