[name] heard his bedroom door open but didn't turn to look at it. "I told you Ma, I'm not hungry." He said.

"It ain't your Ma." A male voice said and [name] turned around to see his best friend, Arvin Russell standing there, blood dripping from his nose and his eyes bruised.

"Arvin." [name] sighed and rubbed his forehead. "Who'd you get into a fight with this time?" He questioned and stood up.

"The boys were messing with Lenora again. Couldn't just let it happen." Arvin grumbled. "They put a paper bag over her head." He sniffled.

[name]'s frowned deepened. He had heard about the boys from Lenora's school that had always picked on her. He was going to go down there and give them a piece of his mind himself. "Then you did the right thing. Just need some lessons on defending yourself." [name] gestured towards the bed and went to get the first aid kit out.

Arvin sat down, taking off his jean jacket and hat as [name] walked back over and stood in front of him. He went to work on gently cleaning his wounds and as he did it, Arvin just stared up at him.

[name] tried to ignore the stares the best he could but eventually gave in. "What you lookin' at?"

"You. You're beautiful." Arvin said, lifting one hand and placing it over the one [name] had on his face. He felt [name] flinch under his touch but he didn't remove his hand.

"You shouldn't say things like that." [name] said, eyes darting away from him.

"Why not?"

"Because we're both boys and boys don't say things like that to each other." He said firmly. He could still feel Arvin's touch on his hand and he really didn't want to move even though it was the right thing to do.

"Boys don't kiss each other either but we do that." Arvin said.

That made [name] shake his head and remove his hand. "It ain't right. W - We sinned and we can't ever do it again."

"That's bullshit!" Arvin exclaimed. "And you know that. It ain't wrong that way we feel about each other just because we're boys."

"There would be a lot of people who disagree with you."

"Fuck them! I don't give a shit what anyone else thinks and I'm not gonna stop how I feel about you because of it." Arvin growled out. He got up from the bed and walked over to [name]. "You really gonna ignore this because of other people?"

[name] sighed. The feeling of Arvin being so close made his heart beat faster and all he wanted to do was pull him close and kiss him just like they had the other night.

There was a silence between them and Arvin inched closer. [name] stood still, letting him get closer and closer until he could feel his breath on his lips.

"Fuck what other people think." [name] said and grabbed the back of Arvin's head and connected their lips.

Arvin moaned against him, wrapping his arms around his middle to pull him even closer until their bodies were pressed together.
