I sat quietly drinking the tea, observing the new room. "I have a quill and parchment over there if you want to write to your friends, or Fred." I grabbed some of it, and Remus began reading a book.
Dear Fred,
I know it hasn't even been one day but of course I miss you. I'm staying with Professor Lupin, it's very nice here. I just wanted you to know I'm safe, and I love you. ClaraDear Harry,
Im staying with professor Lupin for the time being, if you plan on going to Weasleys this summer you should let me know, we could all hang out one day. I miss you. ClaraI folded the letters sending them off with my owl, and grabbed a blanket sitting back on the chair. I closed my eyes for a moment, and shot up when Remus shook me awake. I looked around remembering where I was. He had a big smile on his face clearly amused. "Tired?" I nodded standing up and following him to the rooms. "Goodnight Clara, come get me if you need anything." I gave him a small smile, "night, thank you."
I immediately crawled into the bed and closed my eyes, falling into a deep sleep.
When I woke up the next morning I had checked the time to see that it was already noon. I left my room seeing Remus sitting in his chair reading a book. "Afternoon." He smiled setting it down. I sat down on the chair opposite yawning. "Morning."
"Are you hungry?" He asked. "I can make myself something you don't have to cook for me, I'm not that high maintenance." He laughed, "you're not, but I'd prefer you didn't burn my kitchen down." I rolled my eyes, "I was just going to make toast, that'd be hard to mess up." He nodded, "for most people yes, never know with you."
I smiled sitting back, "well in that case I'll take my toast lightly toasted, with just a thin layer of butter, and a glass of ice water with a fresh lemon. Light ice." He scoffed, "of course princess."
I decided I might as well sit in the kitchen with him I thanked him as he put my toast in front of me. "Care to join me for a walk later?" I nodded, "sure it looks nice out."
After I ate, I had a very quick shower, and changed into comfortable clothes. "I'm ready," I said. We both made our way outside and I noticed a small pond a little while away. "How was your first night?"
"I slept good." He nodded, "it seemed like it." I looked up, "are you coming back to Hogwarts to teach?" He shook his head, "parents don't want a werewolf teaching their kids." I sighed, "who cares what they want?" Remus smiled, "I think you'll be fine." I rolled my eyes, "I doubt that."
Once we had gotten to the pond I dipped my toes in enjoying the cold water. "Is that...?" I asked pointing at a black dog approaching us. Remus stood up to get a better look, and once the dog was just feet away I watched it turn into Sirius.
I immediately sprung up, and he walked over holding his arms open. "You've never been smart," Remus scolded him. I held onto Sirius tightly until he pulled away sitting down beside Remus. "I had to come see Clara." I looked up at him, "why?" He raised his eyebrow, "you're in trouble. What in the hell were you thinking letting the dementors come for you?" I bit my lip, "Harry needs you. I didn't have much going for me, but I'm fine. See?" Sirius shook his head, "you don't think Harry needs you?" I sighed, "he's always wanted a parent, all year we talked about the truth of our parents death, neither of us knew. He got his, how could I let that be taken from him?"
Sirius scoffed, "the truth doesn't mean more to him then your life." I shrugged, "it does for me, you don't know everything I did for the truth this year. Hell, I went to back Azkaban to see my father."
"You did what?" He immediately asked. I shook my head not answering. "I told you to never ever go back there... you are.." Remus nudged him, "she had a rough year, let's just leave it at that." I looked up at Sirius, "I'm sorry, but I had to know." He sighed, "well did you get what you wanted?" I shook my head, "not at all."
Sirius nodded, "one day you will." I bit my lip, "this year just really sucked." Remus gave me a small smile, "I know it did, but you pushed through." I looked up at Sirius, "can you stay here?" He nodded, "for a little bit, not too long in one place." I looked around, "it's nicer then Azkaban." Sirius shook his head, "you shouldn't think about that place, not anymore alright?" I simply nodded tossing a few rocks in the water.
