"Look," Fred whispered pointing up at the sky. I followed his finger that revealed some sort of carriage getting pulled along. He then pulled me to the black lake where we saw a large ship emerging.

"What's happening?" Harry asked. I shook my head confused as everyone else. "We should get inside." I said walking into the castle.

We all took our seat at the table, and I looked up at Dumbledore. He gave me a small smile and a nod. I smiled back then turned back to my friends. Once the feast had began, Dumbledore stood up. "I'm sure you noticed the cartridges arriving this evening. Hogwarts will not only be home to us this year. We are hosting the Triwizard tournament." Cheers began erupting and Dumbledore held up his hands. "I now welcome Mr. Crouch to talk about this tournament." The man stepped forward and he looked familiar in a bad way. I focused only on him, listening to every word he was saying. "Contestants must put their name in this goblet, and to enter, students must be over the age of seventeen years." Fred slammed his hand down causing me to jump slightly, many other students reacted the same until Dumbledore silenced them. We watched as a group of men from Durnstrang, and girls from Beabaxtons entered the hall.

When dinner was over and the tournament had been explained I kissed Fred goodnight standing up from the table.

In the halls I saw Cedric talking to one of his friends. "Clara!" He waved calling me over. I shook hands with his friend sitting down beside them. "I'm entering the tournament." I nodded, "that's quite brave." He shrugged, "I probably won't get picked anyway." I leaned back against the wall, "winning eternal glory would be nice." Cedric agreed, "hey my dad told me about what happened last night, are you alright?" I stood up, "yes I'm fine, goodnight Cedric, let me know when you plan to put your name in."

The next morning I woke up with Hermione and together we walked down for breakfast. "What class do you have first?" She asked. I opened my timetable, "defence against the dark arts, with Alaster Moody." As I read that name out loud I spun around staring at the teacher table, and then I saw him. "I hate him," I told Hermione. She nodded, "he doesn't look too friendly."

When we finished eating, we met up with Harry and Ron walking to class together. We took our seats and moments later Moody stormed through the classroom.

"I'm going to teach you how to fight back against the dark arts, defend yourselves. Beginning today." I watched as he pulled out a jar with a spider in it. "Someone give me one of the unforgivable curses." Ron raised his hand, "the imperious curse." Moody nodded, "ah yes your father would know all about that one, gave the ministry quite a bit of trouble." Moody then used it on the spider making it land on different students heads.

"What's the second one?" Neville raised his hand, "the crucio curse." Moody wrote it down on the board, "this one is banned but they use it quite frequently on the prisoners in Azkaban, from what I heard." I met his eyes glaring back at him. Hermione couldn't stand the sight of this spider getting tortured. "STOP IT, can't you see it's bothering him."

I looked down, and then I saw Neville's face immediately feeling bad for him. "Clara, do you know the last unforgivable curse?" He walked closer to me, and when I looked in his eye, I got the feeling I knew this person, from a completely different place. "no." I simply answered. "Are you sure about that?" I bit my lip, "are you sure you're allowed to be asking me this?" He smirked stepping back, "avada kedavra." I closed my eyes as the spider collapsed down in front of me on my desk.

We were dismissed right after and I stormed out of his classroom leaving everyone else in that awful classroom. I hurried off outside running into Cedric. "What are you running from?" I rolled my eyes, "that new defence against the dark arts professor he's awful."

Fred put his arm around me, "what happened?" I sighed, "he performed the three unforgivable curses, right in front of us. He brought up Azkaban, and he directly asked me if I knew the killing curse. "What a bloody idiot," Cedric scoffed. Fred agreed with him, "he can't even be allowed to use those." I scoffed sitting down, "I don't think Moody really cares."
