Rings 40 - My family is against us.
Jenny smiled as she read the message Angelo sent her. She really couldn't stop herself from being all sunshine and daisies since yesterday. She still couldn't believe what happened yesterday and that the man she loved was Sir Angelo no more, only Angelo now. The cloud over her head was no longer there because finally, her love was recquited.
Good morning, don't go to the office yet, I'll pick you up. Miss you already.
She went to the kitchen and started the coffee, and while the coffee was brewing, she walked towards the cabinet and grabbed two tumblers. She set it on the counter, took two bagels out of the bread bin and walked to the fridge to get the cream cheese. She was going to make breakfast on the go for the two of them since they didn't really have time to eat here because Angelo had an early meeting with the Printing department.
Probably another lecture about how they needed to stop with procrastinating because everyone knew that the printing department liked to complete their task a day before the deadline. She smiled, she'd see her friend, Selda and she maybe she could tell her about her relationship with Angelo.
Jenny frowned, was it okay to tell others about it? Or was it too early? And she didn't also want her sister to find out, not yet. Her family will burst her happy bubble and she just wanted to stay in it in a bit. Reality was too cruel.
It was only Selda so it should probably be okay.
"I brought breakfast pala, do you want to eat it now?"
"Let's eat at the office so that Ic could look at you while I eat."
She blushed, was he always like this? She didn't know but she liked it, nah, she loved it. "You have an early meeting." she reminded.
"Let's be honest, I'm sure the Printing department will arrive 30 minutes late." truer words were never spoken.
She laughed, "Okay pero baka lumamig ang coffee."
"That's fine, we can make it an iced coffee." she nodded even though he couldn't see it, "By the way, what do you think of a weekend getaway this Saturday?"
"He'll be coming with us, kung okay lang sayo."
