Rings 32 – Not enough to shake his ground
Napasabunot si Jenny sa kanyang buhok sa sobrang inis. Wala siyang makitang maayos na condo. Lahat ay medyo out of the budget para sa kanya. Kailan lang naman siya nag umpisa mag trabaho kaya medyo di ganun kalaki ang kanyang sahod. At kahit malaki pa iyon ayaw naman niyang lahat iyon ay mapunta sa condo, gusto din niya bayaran si Kuya James sa tution niya.
Napaka mahal nun pero kakayanin niya. She didn't like to be too dependent on the Carmichael fortune. It seemed like there was always a catch on it.
No. She wouldn't listen or do Kuya James's bidding.
"Miss Matthias?"
Napa angat agad ang ulo niya, inayos ang sarili at dumiretso sa pagkaupo, "Yes, sir?"
Nakakunot ang noo ni Sir Angelo, "Are you alright?"
Ngumiti siya kay Sir Angelo, "Yes, po sir. Medyo stressed but nothing ice-cream can't cure."
These past few weeks, it had been strained weeks for Jenny. Pilit niyang kinakalimutan ang nanyari sa Turks and Caicos, pansin din naman niya na di ito binabanggit ni Sir. Kaya minsan halo halo ang emosyon ni Jenny.
Di alam kung matutuwa ba siya na tila nakalimutan na ni Sir Angelo ang halik o dapat ba siyang masaktan dahil parang kay daling kalimutan ni Sir ito?
Di niya alam. Magulo ang kanyang isipan at puso. May parte na gusto niyang sumubok at baka naman pwede. Pero mas malaki ang parte na duwag. In her mind, why would she change their dynamic now when everything was okay? She might not have his love but she was able to be with him and Peter. Why would she need to change that?
And what if he never felt the same? It'd ruin their dynamic. She was content with how things were right now. Or so she told herself.
"Well, if that is the case, why don't you come with me and we'll pick up Peter and I'll treat you with ice cream."
Eto ang isa sa dahilan kung bakit nahihirapan si Jenny. Dahil bakit parang ang dali dali lang siyang pakisamahan ni Sir Angelo? Wala bang epekto yung halik na yun para kay Sir Angelo? Was it not memorable enough?
Ngumiti siya kay Sir Angelo, "Sige po sir, pero may meeting pa po kayo with Legal po ng 1pm."
Tumango si Sir Angelo, "After then." Tumalikod na si Sir Angelo pero lumingon ulit sa kanya, "What is it, Miss Matthias? Maybe I can help?"
Tipid siyang ngumiti kay Sir Angelo, "It's just that I need to find a condo po." Sagot niya dito. "Out of budget ang lahat ng nakikita ko."
Kumunot ng noo ni Sir Angelo, "Your family is rich enough to buy you a condo, Miss Matthias." Komento nito, "Your brother can even buy the damn building."
