Ahsoka was sleeping on the chair right next to your stretcher. The amnesia had begun to were off and you just stared up at the stars next to Ahsoka who was still holding your hand even though she was asleep. The black sky was still filled with small explosions from the battle above almost like fireworks. You looked at the palace that was in front of you, blocking a large portion of the sky. Hundreds of injured clones had been moved to your location, some sleeping and others wide awake, groaning from the pain of their injuries.
The 332nd had been running low on supplies for a while, but at this point it had gotten so bad that medics started using leaves in the place of bandages. You flinched as another surge of pain rushed through your stomach. You subconsciously began to stroke Ahsoka's right montral. Her warm and soft tails helped to relive your stress and pain. Ahsoka smiled began to move her head closer to you. Even when she was seeping she enjoyed the slow and gentle motions.
Ahsoka eventually rested her face on your bare chest. Her soft, angelic breaths comforted you as you continued to stroke her montral. You gave your girlfriend's head a quick kiss and then returned to staring at the sky until you fell asleep again.
Anakin POV
I overlooked the large space battle that was turning into a show of lasers and explosions. Obi Wan's flagship, The Negotiator, fired a shot into a Munificent-class frigate that detonated it's ammunition in a magnificent detonation. Hundreds of star fighters buzzed around the ships taking each other out. A squadron of Y-wings had broken through the droid defenses and were beginning a bombing run on a capitol ship. I knew that Ahsoka, (y/n) and the 332nd couldn't hold out for much longer so at this point, every second counted.
A cruiser beside my ship began to list and the escape pods were activated. The ship that had destroyed the cruiser then began to open fire on us. "Focus all fire on that ship!" I ordered. The ship was rocked, but the shield barley managed to stay up long enough to allow our guns to destroy it.
A droid core ship broke off from the fleet to my confusion and stop far away from the battle. Then, several landing craft exited it's huge hangers and flew down to Naboo's surface. "Delta-6, take out those landing craft!" I shouted. "Yes sir!" replied Duck. They broke off from the battle and engaged the craft, sending serval crashing through the atmosphere in flames. I watched the fighters and the landing craft until they faded away into the atmosphere. The core ship sent out a swarm of Vulture droids who followed the clones down to the surface.
(y/n) POV
You awoke to the sound of buzzing engines and yelling clones. You shook Ahsoka, who was still resting on your chest, to wake her up. She opened her eyes and upon hearing the noises, she bolted up to her feet. "Droids? What are they doing here?" Ahsoka asked. "One last hurrah." you sighed, not k owing any reason to this action by the Separatists. Falcon ran up to your bed and saluted. "I don't need to tell you what is coming." he joked. Ahsoka stood up. "I'm going." you said. "No you aren't." Ahsoka said sternly. "What do you mean?" you asked, trying to sit up but were overwhelmed with pain and fell back down. "That's why." Ahsoka said.
You sighed in frustration and attempted to cross your arms. Ahsoka and Falcon ran off, leaving you with the injured clones. Blaster fire and screams were heard, muffled from the distance and the buildings that surrounded the makeshift hospital. You sensed a huge wave of unease and fear rush through the clones as a blaster bolt landed near your stretcher, glowing in the night sky. You tried to sit up again, but were forced back down due to the pain. "Please, please, please be safe Ahsoka." you prayed.
