Chapter 34 | Revenge

3d Person POV

In the empty void of space, a signal stolen cargo ship jumps out of hyperspace, destroying the silent emptiness with rage and anger.  Savage Opress piolets the ship down though a small planet of Raydonia's atmosphere as Maul looks over him with the same silence as space above them.  "Brother, what are we doing here?"  Savage asked, landing the ship and watching as children gleefully ran up to the ship. 

"The Jedi won't be out this far in the galaxy."  he said, observing the kids cherfuly sprinting towards them.  "In a galaxy at war, Savage, there is only one way to get the attention of the Jedi.  Slaughter of the innocent, mercilessly and without compromise." Maul snarled, igniting his lightsaber.  Far away on Coruscant, (y/n), Ahsoka, Mace, and Obi Wan all stand, watching a hologram of the Sith Lord.

(y/n) POV

"There will be more innocent blood on your hands, Kenobi"  Maul ranted, pacing around a few helpless civilians.  "...unless you come here, face me."  he snarled, cutting the heads off the civilians, who had just started to understand what was happening and almost cried out, but were silenced.  "Come alone and if you do not, this world will burn."  he threatened, before the hologram faded out.

The room sat in silence for a moment as everyone contemplated what they had just seen.  "It's obviously a trap."  Ahsoka said, rubbing her chin thoughtfully as she stood next to you.  "Then we will send a task force with you to even the odds."  Master Windu suggested.  "No, you see what he's capable of.  He's a broken, unbalanced monster."  Obi Wan sighed.

"I for one, agree with Master Windu, we have no clue what is waiting for Master Kenobi, we should send a few Jedi and clones for good measure."  you pointed out.  Ahsoka however, seemed to disagreed with you.  "No, Obi Wan should go alone.  If this is Darth Maul, then sending a few more Jedi would be pointless, and we are already spread thin across the galaxy as is.  We cant risk more lives than we have too."  she said.

You strongly disagreed with Ahsoka, but understood her concern.  But Obi Wan had just gotten back, and you couldn't afford to lose him once again.  "No, we cant just let one of our best Jedi Masters waltz into an obvious trap!"  you said, getting a glare from Ahsoka.

The taping sound of Master Yoda's cane fills the room as the old Jedi approached the table.  Immediately, everyone in the room focused on him.  "Against my better judgment, agree with Master Kenobi, I do." he confessed.  "But-"  you were lightly jabbed in the shoulder by Ahsoka, who gave you another glare and shook her head.  "Finish what he started long ago, Obi-Wan must."  Master Yoda said, looking up at Obi Wan with approval.

"Well then, I suppose I'm off to Raydonia."  Obi Wan said.  "With a small group of Jedi and clones."  you added.  "(y/n), I know you are worried, but the decision is final."  Ahsoka said.  You sighed and rubbed your head slightly.  "Then I agree with Master Yoda, Obi Wan must face Maul alone."  you said, receiving a cute smile from your girlfriend.

"Not alone will Kenobi be, unexpected allies he may have.  Trust the Force, we must."  Yoda said.  With that, everyone began to disperse from the room.  You began to leave as well before Obi Wan stopped you.  "I know it was Ahsoka's convincing that did the trick, but I want to thank you for allowing me to go alone."  he said, giving you a smile.  "No problem."  you said returning the smile.

Ahsoka ran up to you and sighed heavily.  "I know that smile too well.  Were going aren't we?"  she asked, giving you a look.  "You bet."  you said, shooting her a wink.  "I will go with you, but you have to give me a kiss first."  Ahsoka said, giving you a sly smirk.  You pulled her aside and passionately locked your lips together for a few seconds, before backing away out of fear of being caught.  "I'm ready now."  she said, giving you a cute, but worried smile.
