Aria's POV

I woke up from my curled up position on the floor and I felt cramps all over my body. After wishing Jake a goodnight last night, I closed the door and leaned against it and slid down and started crying till I fell asleep. I stood up from the floor and opened the door heading for the bathroom. I really needed a shower to get rid of the headache I had.

I took a quick shower and put on the same shirt Jake had given me and headed for the living room. I found Jake standing by the counter shirtless, while drinking his coffee as he was reading a newspaper. He didn't seem to have noticed my presence in the room. I walked towards him and I was about to greet him good morning when I saw my face on the front page of the newspaper.

Jake turned his head towards me and saw me staring at the newspaper.

"Ummm.... if you want I can put it away." He said as he started folding the newspaper but I took it away from.

I turned on the next page to read the story.

It is said that Mr.Watson's daughter, Aria Watson, eloped with her lover.

The newspaper read.

Where did they get such false information? What lover were they talking about?

I started feeling dizzy, I felt all my energy drail away from my body. The newspaper fell from my hands and I felt my knees go weak. I felt strong hands go around my waist.

"Aria!"I heard Jake say before darkness engulfed me.

I woke and found myself in an unfamiliar room. I sat on the bed and looked around and remembered where I was, I was at Jake's place. I had not taken my medication for two days and that is why I fainted earlier, and the situation that I was going through was causing my health to become even worse.

I stood up from the bed and headed for the kitchen to get some water. I stopped in my tracks when I heard voice coming from the living room. I recognized Jake's voice but I did not recognize the other person's voice.

"Are you sure of what you are saying Manuel?" The stranger asked and I heard Jake chuckle before answering.

"I am telling you Matteo, this girl is going to get us a lot of money. At first I was only going to use her as my toy and maybe share her with others so as to earn some money, but when I found she is the daughter of one of the biggest billionaires in the country, I knew we had hit a jackpot."

I let out a gasp and quickly put a hand over my mouth.

"Did you hear?" The stranger asked and I stayed still on my spot, holding my breath.

"Hear what?" Jake asked and I silently prayed that they don't come to see what made the noise.

"It's nothing, maybe I was just hearing things." He said and I sighed in relief.

"Where is the girl anyway?" I heard the stranger ask and my heart skipped a bit. What if they come and find me here? They would know that I know there plans.

"She is in the room sleeping." Jake said.

I slowly turned around and quietly tiptoed back to the room and got back in bed and covered myself.

I heard the door opened and I pretended to be asleep. I had their footsteps getting closer to the bed and I went stiff.

"Why is she so ugly?" I heard Jake's friend ask and I felt a sharp in my chest but I managed to remain stiff.

"I don't know man, maybe she is unlucky and was born like that." Jake said.

"I can't believe that a rich guy's daughter looks like this." Jake's friend said and it reminded me of how my father is ashamed of me and I tried hard to control my emotions as this was not the time to cry.
