Cassie's POV
My mother had just been discharged from the hospital and I had now pulled over at the drive way. I got of the car and went to the passenger side and helped my mother get out of the car.
"Finally I am back home, I was getting sick of staying at that hospital." My mother said.
"Well you better take good care of yourself if you don't want to go back there."
We walked towards the house and went to sit in the living room.
"Hannah!" I called one of the servants and she came rushing in.
"Yes miss."
"Can you please bring a glass of water? My mom needs to take her medicine."
"Right away miss."
She went towards the kitchen and came back with a glass of water.
"Here you go ma'am." She said as she gave my mother the glass and went back to the kitchen.
"Have this." I said as I gave my mother her medicine.
"Ewww I hate this medication it tastes so bitter."
"Well you have no choice, you have to take it."
Just then my phone rang and I looked at the caller ID and saw that it was my father. I glanced at my mother and I hesitantly answered the call.
"Hello Dad."
My mother looked at me and rolled her eyes before gulping down her medicine.
"Hi cupcake, are you home yet?" My father said from the other end.
"Yeah we're home already."
"Is your mother okay? Has she taken her medication as instructed by the doctor?"
"Yeah mom is fine and yes she took her medicine."
"Ok that's good, be sure to take good care of her."
"I will be sure to do that dad. You can even speak to mom if you want." I said as I looked at my mother but she just rolled her eyes and turned on the television.
"I don't think that is a good idea cupcake, let your mother get some rest for now."
Atleast I tried.
"Okay dad, bye."
"Bye cupcake, and also remember to take good care of yourself." He said and hang up the phone.
"Dad seems to really care about you." I said.
"Ivan cares about nothing other than his stupid company."
My mother had never told me about what happened between him and my father that made them divorce, I was only six years old when they got divorced and so I don't remember anything, and every time I try to bring up the topic she would either scold me or just ignore me.
"What happened between you and dad?"
She looked at me with furrowed eyebrows turned her head back to the television.
"Why are you asking?"
"Because I want to know."
"Well don't bother yourself because it's never going to help you in anyway." She said bitterly without turning her head on my.
"You are going to go with that again." I said and she looked at me.
"Drop it Cassie!" She snapped.
"No mom, I deserve to know. Did he cheat on you or did you have a misunderstanding or what happened?"
