Aria's POV

I woke up and found myself in Axel's office. I was lying down on one of the sofas. I looked around and saw no one in the office, I was all alone. I quickly sat up and took out my phone from my back pocket. It was eight o'clock and I had twenty two missed calls and forty eight messages from Cassie, she was so worried about me. I opened the messages and read some of them.

Please get home Aria I am really worried about you.

Why aren't you answering your phone?

Pick up my calls Ari.

I am coming over right now.

Oh no! I can't come because I got a text from my mom, she isn't feeling well so I have to go see her.

I will probably be home late so please be there when I get back.

The door opened and Aiden walked in.

"Hey, you are awake?"

"Yeah." I said looking around the room for Axel.

"He is not here." Aiden said and I looked at him confused.

"Huh?"

"Axel, he is not here. You were looking for him right?"

"Umm... yeah. Where is he anyway?"

"He went home, he told me to stay with you till you wake up. We even wanted to take you to the hospital but since you had told us you had already been to the hospital today, we decided to wait and see if you will regain conscious soon as we did not want to rush things."

I don't know what would've happen if they had taken me to the hospital.

Axel would have found out about me suffering from leukemia.

Then what would have happened? Would he change his attitude towards me would he start treating me nicely?

Of course he would, because he would be feeling pity for you.

As much as I hate my subconscious right now, I knew that she was right. If Axel had found out about my illness, he would just have pity for me, and his niceness towards me will only be because of him feeling sorry for me, and I don't want any of that, I don't want anybody's pity or sympathy.

"Hello Aria!" Aiden said as he snapped his fingers in front of my face pulling me out of my thoughts.

"Uh... sorry... I was just distracted." I said as I grabbed my purse. "Anyway I have to head home."

"Are you sure you are okay?" He asked.

"Yeah yeah I am fine, I think the medicine must have had an effect on me that's why I fainter earlier."

"Then you should get checked by the doctor again and maybe have him prescribe you a different medication, you know one that won't have any effect you like this"

"No...I mean yes, I definitely will." I said quickly and he looked at me with furrowed eyebrows.

"Anyway I need to go now." I said as I headed for the door.

"I can give you a ride if you want." He said and I turned around to look at him.

"Thanks, that would be nice."

Since Cassie won't be here to pick me up and I didn't have my purse with me that means I didn't have any money with me, why not accept Aiden's kind offer?

"Okay, let me just get my keys from my office."

"Okay, I will meet you in the parking lot." I said and he nodded before heading out.
