Aria's POV
Your mother is dead Aria, and your father is very sick.
There was pin drop silence as I tried to register the words that Aiden had just said. I felt my fingers getting weak and they weren't able to support the cup I was holding and a shattering sound was heard throughout the room.
I felt Aiden's arm on my shoulder and I looked at him, his mouth was moving but I could not hear the words that were coming out of it.
Your mother is dead Aria, and your father is very sick.
Those words kept on ringing in my head.
Mom is dead.
How can she be dead? She was fine when I left, how can she be gone?
What about dad? Yes we were not in good terms with her but I still love him, he is still my father.
Why was all this happening to me? What had I done to deserve all of this? First I lost my baby, then now my mother, and my father is fighting for his life right now.
All this questions and thoughts kept on going in my head. I didn't know what to do, I didn't know what to say or how to react.
So I let it all out, I screamed.
"Aria! Aria! Calm down Aria!" Aiden yelled as he shook me.
I looked at him and saw sadness cloud his eyes. He stretched his hands up to my face and wiped away my tears, I did not even realize that I had been crying.
"It's okay, it's okay." He said softly as he brought me to lean on his chest.
I wasn't even crying, I didn't even have the energy to do so, I felt so weak, hopeless and broken.
The door opened and Aiden turned his head to see who it was.
"Aria! Why did you.....who are you?" I heard Cassie's voice from behind me but I did not turn around to look at her.
"I am Aiden, I am Aria's friend."
"Really! How come you never told me about him Aria?" She asked as she came to stand in front of me.
"Aria! What's wrong?" She asked with concern but I just kept quiet.
"What's wrong with her?"
"Umm....she....uh...I.." Aiden stuttered.
"What did you do to her?" She asked in a raised voice.
"I... I told her about her parents."
"What about her parents?"
"Her mother died and her father is very sick."
"What?" She asked in shock.
"I'm sorry but she wanted to know how her parents are doing and I couldn't lie to her."
"You know what just get out of my house, leave right now." She started dragging Aiden out of the house.
"What? She wanted to know about her parents' doing and I told her." He protested.
"I don't care if you are Aria's friend just leave my house right now."
"Okay I will leave. Aria, I am really sorry for your loss."
I heard the door close and Cassie came to sit down next to me.
"Aria, I am so sorry." She gently rubbed my back.
I slowly stood up and went towards my room. Cassie did not try to stop me, nor did she hold me back.
I went inside my room and closed the door behind me. I took the wig of my head and threw it across the room. I went and stood in front of the mirror and stared at my reflection, tears started flowing down my cheeks.
