Axel's POV

I groaned in frustration as I threw the pen I was holding across the room. I was trying to get some work done but I could not concentrate. My mind was constantly thinking of Aria and I could not stop myself.

I stood up from my chair and walked outside the study room and went to the mini bar in the living room and took a bottle of alcohol and poured some in a glass. I gulped it all down at once and poured myself two more. I still couldn't stop thinking about Aria and it was becoming really annoying. I threw the glass across the room and it collided with the wall, breaking into several glass pieces.

"Whoa Axel! Calm down." I heard Aiden's voice and I turned around to see him walking inside my living room.

"What are you doing here Aiden?" I asked as I headed towards my study room, while Aiden followed behind.

"I'm here to say hi to my good friend." He said as he sat down on one of the chairs across from mine.

I scoffed and went back to doing my work.

"It's Aria isn't it?" Aiden said breaking silence but I ignored him and continued with what I was doing.

"You still have feelings for her don't you Axel?"

"I don't know what you are talking about." I said still not looking up from my work.

"Oh come on Axel, you can't hide from me, I know you still love her."

"Don't you have your own home?" I asked as I looked at him.

"You do still love her don't you?" I could see the amusement in his eyes.

"You know I have better things to do than to answer your stupid questions Aiden." I said as I stood up and went to the shelf near my desk and started searching for a file.

"Then how do you explain firing Clara?"

"She was inefficient in performing her duties." I said as I went back to my seat.

"Really? After working as a receptionist for the company for seven years, that is even before your father had retired, you just realized that she was inefficient."

"Yes Aiden, I did." I answered as I carried on with my work.

"So it has nothing to do with the fact that she would not let Aria go in and meet you and even called the security to throw her out?"

"No, it doesn't."

"But do you think it was fair to also fire those two guards, I mean they were following Clara's orders it wasn't really their fault." He said but I just kept quiet and didn't even bother looking up from what I was doing.

"How about you telling Tiffany off after how she insulted Aria?" He asked breaking the silence.

"I did not tell her off because she insulted Aria, I told her off because she was just one of my hookups and that is how I treat them after I get what I want." I explained looking at him.

"Except you did not get what you want from Tiffany." He stated.

"What? How do you even know about this?" I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion.

"I called Jack and he told me that he had dropped you off that night, and I know you never take your hookups home, you always book a hotel room where you fuck them."

"Well she was not attractive anyway so I did not have any interest." I said as I went back to reading the file I had taken from the shelf.

"Then why do you always get angry whenever you see Aria and Connor together?"
