Aiden's POV
We hurriedly got out of the car and walked towards the police station. We went inside and went to the reception desk.
"We are here to see Axel Campbell. He was arrested just a few hours ago." Mr.Campbell said and the man seated behind the desk typed on his computer before looking at us again.
"Yeah, he was arrested a few hours ago." He said.
"Can we see him?" I asked.
"I'm sorry but visiting hours are over, maybe if you come tomorrow you can be allowed to see him." He said.
"I demand to see my son right now." Mrs.Campbell said.
"I'm sorry ma'am but those are the rules and...."
"Where is the commissioner?" Mr.Campbell asked.
"He is in his office." He said pointing down the hallway and we started walking towards that direction.
"Excuse me you can't go there." He said trying to block our path but we walked right past him.
Mr.Campbell opened the door that was written 'Commissioner' and we walked in.
The middle-aged man seated behind the desk looked at us in surprise.
"I'm sorry sir, I tried to stop them from coming in but they wouldn't listen to me." The receptionist explained as he walked in the office.
"It's okay Garry, you may now return to your post." The commissioner said.
"Thank you sir." The receptionist saluted before leaving the office.
"I want to see my son." Mr.Campbell said.
"Visiting hours are over so you can't see him." The commissioner said.
"Please sir, we really need to see him." I said but he still refused to let us see him.
"Do you have any idea who I am?" Mr.Campbell asked firmly.
"I am very well aware of who you are Mr.Edward Campbell, but the rules must be followed by everyone including you."
"Do something Edward, I can't have my son sleep in jail." Mrs.Campbell said to her husband.
"I know that honey." He said then looked at me.
"How about you try calling the mayor?" I told him and he nodded as he took out his phone.
"Hello Jeremy, yeah nice to hear from you too. Oh no, I have so much busy lately..... not at all.... look I want to ask a favor from you it's urgent." I watched as he told the mayor about Axel's arrest and after sometime he gave the phone to the commissioner.
"He wants to talk to you." He said and the commissioner looked at him before taking the phone.
"Yes sir.... just a few hours ago....no sir.....yes..... okay sir." The commissioner then ended the call and gave the phone back to Mr.Campbell.
"Follow me this way." The commissioner said as he got up and led us out of his office into a small waiting room.
He then ordered one policeman to bring out Axel and we sat patiently waiting.
A few minutes later the policeman came back with Axel walking behind him.
"My son, are you okay? Did they hurt you?" Mrs.Campbell asked as she rushed by his side.
"I am fine mom." He said.
"I'll take care of his bailing you stay here with him." Mr.Campbell said and he went away.
