Axel's POV
I was driving my car at a very high speed, ignoring the honking that I got from other cars. I saw my phone's screen light up again and I knew it was Aiden who was calling me. I reached for it and declined the call before tossing it back on the passenger seat. I was so frustrated right now.
I pulled over in front of my gate and beeped the horn several times.
Where the hell is the guard?
I was getting very impatient by the minute as I continued beeping the horn.
The gates opened and I immediately drove into the compound. I got out of my car, slamming the car's door in process as I barged into my house.
"Good eve....." George started but I just ignored his greetings and walked right past him as I threw him my briefcase.
I went to the mini bar and took a bottle of alcohol and started gulping it all down, not bothering to use a glass.
"Hey Axel! Axel where are you!" I heard Aiden's voice from the leaving room and I rubbed my forehead with my hand. The last thing I wanted was someone else adding to my frustration right now.
"There you are man. Are you crazy?" Aiden asked in an annoyed as he entered the living room.
"Leave me alone Aiden!" I snapped as I gulped down more of the alcohol.
"What do you mean leave you alone? You could have got seriously hurt with the way you were driving on the road you know."
I ignored him and continued drinking my alcohol.
"You were like a total maniac out there, what if you had gotten into an accident?" He asked and I stood and started heading for the stairs, but I stopped in my tracks when Aiden grabbed my arm.
"I know that you're like this because of Aria, but I promise things aren't as they seem."
"Really Aiden. You are on Aria's side now?" I asked in annoyance.
"It's not about sides here Axel it's about what's right and wrong."
I run my hand over my hair in frustration. What has Aria done to Aiden?
"Just listen to me Axel. When you walked in and found Howard unzipping Aria's dress, I know it was an ugly sight but trust me they were not doing anything wrong."
"Oh so it's okay for men to start unzipping women's clothing's and they would be nothing wrong with that?" I yelled.
"I didn't mean that. Look, Aria was just trying on the dress she and Howard had made and she was having trouble with reaching the zipper and Howard was only helping her with it. You yourself should have seen that she was not wearing that dress this morning."
I could not believe this. Somehow Aria had managed to bewitch my best friend, and have him wrapped around her little finger. I don't know what potion or spell this woman had cast on my friend, but I am not going to let Aiden be a pawn to one of her games again.
"Come on Aiden, not you too. Can't you see what Aria is doing you?" I asked and Aiden looked at me confused. "She is clearly messing with you just like did with me in the past."
"Axel, there are always two sides of the story but apparently here I can say they are three, your side, her side and the truth."
"For goodness sake Aiden listen to me!" I yelled as I threw the bottle of alcohol across the room and it hit the wall making the shattered pieces scatter all over the room.
"This is the same Aria we are talking about, the same Aria I was supposed to get married to but she said she did not want to marry me because I was blind, the same Aria who played with my feelings and yet had a secret boyfriend, whom she eloped with after refusing to marry me, she is still that very same Aria Watson from two years ago!"
