Aria's POV

I ran inside the building ignoring the weird stares people were giving me and quickly rushed towards the elevator. I pressed the open button and got inside.

I stood at the corner panting tried to catch a hold of my breath, I looked down letting my hair cover my face. The other staff that was with me in the elevator looked at me weirdly, but what did I expect showing up at work five in the evening while wearing a pair of skinny jeans and a sweatshirt and white sneakers.

The elevator door dinged open and everyone else got out leaving me alone inside, just a few more floors and I will at the top floor.

My phone vibrated in my back pocket and I took and saw Cassie's name on the screen.

I sighed before answering it.

"Hello Aria! Are you crazy? Aria you are sick you have not taken your medicine? Ari please come home, I will talk to Axel and explain everything to him just please come back." She pleaded.

"I am sorry Cassie but I am already here."

"But Ari, what about the doctor's instructions, he said......"

"Sorry Cassie gotta go bye." I cut her off as the elevator doors dinged open.

I walked out of the elevator and went to Axel's office. My hands were getting colder by the second and my heart was pounding in my chest really hard.

"You came Aria?" I heard Connor voice and I turned around and saw him walk towards me.

"Yeah, I had to, I can't afford losing this job Connor."

"But you are unwell, you skin even looks more pale."

"Don't worry Connor, I am fine." I said as I tried to put on a smile.

"Are you sure?" He asked with concern.

"Yes, I am sure. Is Ax....Mr.Campbell in?" I asked pointing towards the office.

"Yes he is in?"

"Okay, I will go talk to him." I said and he nodded before going away.

I turned around and walked towards Axel's office and stood in front of it. I  took in a deep breath before knocking on the door.

"Come in." His deep voice said from the inside.

I slowly stretched out my hand  to the door knob and pushed the door open. I walked inside and found Axel busy on his laptop while Aiden was seated on one of the chairs across from him sipping coffee.

They both looked up when they heard me clear my throat. I could feel Axel's intense gaze on me as I looked at the floor.

"Hi Aria!" I heard Aiden's cheerful voice and I looked up to see him smiling at me.

"Hi Aiden." I mumbled softly as I smiled back.

"How have you been?" He asked with the same cheer in his voice.

I was about to answer when Axel interrupted me.

"Where have you been today?" He asked authoritatively.

"I....I was not....I was not feeling well so I had to go.....to the hospital." I stuttered.

"Really, what were you suffering from?" Aiden asked with concern.

"Aiden!" Axel snapped before I could get the chance to answer the question.

"Well we have to know." Aiden said.

"Actually....I....umm....I......" I stuttered.

"Leave us alone Aiden." He ordered and Aiden stood up from his seat.
