Chapter Fifteen

Axel's POV

I walked inside the bakery and saw Aria cleaning the counter. She looked so innocent, but I knew her true character, she was a betrayer. I walked over to the counter and waited for her to look at me, but she was too busy cleaning the counter.

"Welcome to Julia's Bakery, what can I get you?" She said, still not looking at me.

This was getting in my nerves.

"I prefer you look at me when you are talking to me." I said and she slowly lifted her eyes up to my face.

"Axel!" She said as her mouth hang open, while her eyes grew wide.

I smirked as I saw her expression. This is exactly what I had wanted.

"Axel." She said my name again in a much lower voice.

"Axel it's you!" She said as she came around the counter and stood where I was.

"I...... I can't believe it.... it's really you, and you can see." She said as she put her hands on my cheeks, I could see tears start to form in her eyes.

"How many fingers are this?" She said as she held up two fingers in front of my face, but I just stared at her.

Was she crazy? After all that had happen, she still acted like everything was okay between us.

"Never mind." She said as put back her hand.

"I'm just glad you came back for me." She said threwing her arms around me.

Was she hugging me? What is wrong with Aria, why is she playing so innocent?

Her scent filled my nostrils and I remembered back when we were together.

No, focus. Don't you remember what she did to you? The pain she caused you.

I felt my blood boil as anger started rising in me.

I grabbed her and roughly pushed her away from me. I then roughly grabbed her arm and pulled her outside the bakery, ignoring the looks everyone was giving me. She looked at me surprised.

"Axel what's wrong?"

"Stop it Aria, just stop it." I snapped and she flinched.

"Stop what?" She asked innocently.

"Stop acting so innocent, like everything is okay between us."

"But.... but I thought you came back for me." Tears started flowing down her cheeks but I did not care.

"So you thought that I would just forgive you for everything that you did and forget everything. No Aria, you are wrong."

More tears started flowing down her face.

"I'm sorry Axel, I'm sorry for everything I did."

"I'm not here for your fake apologies Aria, I am here for something else."

"What?" She said as she wiped off her tears.

I was about to speak up when the bakery door opened and a blonde hair boy came out.

"Aria, I've been looking all over for you."

"I'm sorry, just give me a few more minutes and I'll be right inside."

The blonde boy looked over at me then to Aria, before going back inside.

"Really, now you and your boyfriend run this junk place together."I said dryly.

"What? No Xander isn't my boyfriend, he's my boss."

I scoffed. "His name is Xander? What happened to Erick? Didn't things work out between the two of you?"
