Aria's POV

For the first time I looked at the mirror and saw something different, I didn't see the ugly freak staring back at me, I didn't see the worthless being that I have always felt like, I didn't see the sad girl I have always been, I saw this happy girl who didn't care about what anybody said, as long as I am with Axel and the people I love are with me I don't feel any emptiness in my life.

I didn't bother wearing any wig to cover my bald head, I didn't feel anymore insecure and it was a great feeling.

"Aria, the car is here to pick you up, you better get going." Cassie said as she walked into the room. Axel had told me that he wasn't going to pick me up but had sent his driver to come get me. I tried asking him what he had planned for our dinner but he said it was a surprise.

I took my purse from the bed and looked at Cassie.

"Are you excited?" She asked me and I nodded.

"Go have fun, okay." She said.

"I will, and when I come back I want you to catch me up on your date with Xander." I said before walking out of the room.

Xander had finally confessed his true feelings to Cassie and she also admitted to like him too, they had even gone on a date recently and I looked forward to hear all about it.

I walked out of the elevator and got to Axel's car.

"Good evening ma'am?" The drive asked me as he opened the back door for me.

"Good evening." I said as I got in the car.

"Where are we going?" I asked the driver as he started the car.

"I have been instructed by sir not to say anything, he wants it to be a surprise." He said.

I took out my phone and texted Axel.

Me: I am really anxious please tell me what the surprise is.

I have never been on any date before and I really have anxiety, and Axel keeping me in suspense with the surprise is really building up my anxiety.

My phone lit up and I saw Axel text.

Axel: Be patient my love.

Me: I don't think I can be any more patient.

Axel: Just try dear. I am waiting for you.

I stared at the screen and smiled, how could a single text make me feel like this.

The car came to a stop and I looked through the window. The whole place was full of lights, I could see some swings, the roller coasters, the bouncing castles.......

Wait a minute!

Is this the.....

Oh my God! We're at the carnival.

I now understand why Axel bought me this outfit. We weren't going on a fancy restaurant for dinner, we were going to the carnival.

The driver came and opened the door for me and I got out. I looked around and saw Axel standing at the entrance dressed casually in a pair of grey sweatpants, a black hoodie and a pair of black nike shoes. He looked as handsome as always.

He came towards me and put his hands around my waist and pulled me towards him. He buried his face in the croon of my neck and inhaled my scent.

"I missed you so much." He said in a deep husky voice that sent shivers running down my spine, I felt a tingling sensation in my stomach and my hairs stood up.
