Aria's POV

I heard a knock at the door and looked up to see Connor through the glass door. I smiled at him and he came in with a cup of coffee in his hands.

"Good morning Aria?"

"Morning Connor."

"Here, I brought you coffee. I didn't see you at the cafeteria during lunch so I thought of bring you coffee." He said as he placed the coffee on my desk.

"Thanks Connor, that's so sweet of you." I said as I took a sip of the coffee.

"Are you done with the designs?"

"Not yet, but I'm almost through."

Connor took my notebook and started turning the pages looking at the designs.

"Wow Aria! I'm impressed." He said as he looked at me with thrill in his eyes.

"Are they good?"

"Are you kidding me? These are amazing! I have been working for this company for five years now before Axel was even made the CEO and I have never seen anything like this."

"I now know why Mr.Campbell didn't even bother interviewing you, he believed in you and today you will prove him right."

"Thank you Connor." I said, even though I knew very well Axel gave me this work so as to challenge me, but I was up for the challenge all along.

Just then the door open and Axel stood there in his three-piece navy blue Armani suit that hugged his body very well, with hair neatly combed back, he looked really handsome.

I broke out of my trance when I heard his voice.

"Connor, meet me in my office now." He said and turned around going back to his office, he didn't even bother looking at me.

"Duty calls. See you later Aria." He said as he went to Axel's office.

I wonder what Axel wants to tell Connor. Is he going to make an issue out of me talking to Connor again? But then again, Connor is his assistant so they are so many other things he could want to discuss with him?

*******
It was noon and I decided to pass by Connor's office so that we could go have lunch together.

"Hey Connor." I said as I went over to his desk.

"Oh hey Aria." He said as he looked up at me.

"Shall we go for lunch?"

"Oh shoot!" He exclaimed as he looked at his wrist watch.

"What!"

"I have a really important presentation to prepare for a meeting Mr.Campbell will be having at two in the afternoon, and I'm not even halfway through." He said as he

"Then why hadn't you got started on it earlier?"

"Because Mr.Campbell gave me a late notice, he told me this morning and I also had other things in my schedule."

"Oh, so that's what he called to tell you when you were in my office."

"Yeah."

I was somehow relieved that I had not gotten Connor in trouble.

"Since you're busy, do you want me to bring you anything from the cafeteria?" I asked.

"Yes. I would like three hotdogs and a can of soda."

"Okay, they are coming right up."

"Sure, and thanks Aria."

"Don't mention it."
