Aria's POV

There is still time, I haven't lost Axel, I know the old Axel is still in there, I just know it.

That's what I've been trying to convince myself for the past hour. I tore another shit from my notebook and tossed it in the trashcan. I haven't been able to concentrate on my work ever since I was from Axel's office. There were a lot of rolled papers on the floor that I had tried tossing into the trashcan but missed.

I put down my pen and held my face in my hands. I needed to complete this work by tomorrow evening and I haven't been able to come up with a single design.

I had someone knock on my door and looked up to see Connor through the glass door. I put up a smile as he came in.

"Have you been here all this time?" He asked as he sat on my the edge of my desk.

"Yeah, I'm trying to come up with new designs but my mind is so occupied, I haven't been able to come up with any." I said looking at the rolled papers on the floor.

"Maybe you just need a break, let's go for lunch."

"Lunch? Isn't it eleven?" I asked as I looked at the wall clock.

"No, it's almost one."

"Really! I thought that only an hour had passed by. I have to come up with twenty five designs by tomorrow evening and I still haven't come up any."

"Whoa! Did you just say twenty five designs by tomorrow evening? That's a lot of work in very little time, did Mr.Campbell tell you to do this?" He asked as he furrowed his eyebrows.

"Yeah, when I went to meet him."

"But he's never been this had on an employee before, I mean sure he's strict but he's always reasonable." He said as he stroked his stubble.

"But I believe you can make that possible Aria, after all he didn't even interview you, that means he also believes in you."

"Thanks Connor."

"Well I'd prefer that thank you by having you to agree to go to lunch with me." He said as he gave me a wink.

"Sure." I said as I stood up.

"After you mi'lady." He said in a British accent as he held the door open for me and I couldn't help chuckle.

"Well thank you my good sir." I said in the same accent.

As we walked towards the elevator, I felt someone's gaze on me, I turned around to see who it was but I didn't see anyone.

"Shall we go?" Connor asked and I turned around.

"Yes." I said as I got into the elevator with him.

We reached the forth floor and Connor led me to the cafeteria. We went towards a table that had two men and one lady seated there.

"Hey guys, this is Aria, the new employee, and Aria this is Daniel, Howard and Lacey." He said as he pointed towards the red-headed guy, the dark-haired guy and the blonde haired lady.

"Hi Aria." Daniel greeted.

"Hey Aria." Howard greeted.

"Nice to meet you Aria."Lacey said as she held out a handshake and I took it.

"Let's have a sit." Connor said and we sat down.

"So you guys just got here?" Connor asked.

"More like we want to go." Lacey said pointing at the empty trays on the table.

"Can't you just stay a bit, at least get to know Aria." Connor said.

"Trust me, we would, but lately Mr.Campbell  has been assigning people a lot of work and it's starting to get on my nerves." Howard said as he stood up.
