REALITY

previously: our lips were just centimeters apart — if one of us were to move any closer they would touch.

they were just about to touch until we both felt drops of water start pouring on us.

"shit" josh says.

"fuck" i say.

we both jump up to our feet. my first instance is to cover my head with my hands as an umbrella but it dosen't work out dry well. we stand there for a second until we start laughing again.

"what are we doing" i say through my laughs.

"i don't know" josh exclaims.

"we should probably get back to the car" he says.

"you think?" i say.

"yeah we should, come on" he says.

we both run back to josh's car as fast as we could. keep in mind that we walked to the beach from the park so there was quiet a walk to the car.

to say nonetheless, we were both drenched by the time we got into his car.

"hold shit" he says as we shut the doors behind him.

"did you know it was gonna rain" i say catching my breath.

"heck no, if i did i wouldn't have gone out" he says.

"well i guess it was just unexpected" i say.

"yeah, what do you want to do now?" he says.

"uh... probably change" i say.

"sounds like a plan to me" he says.

"wait actually" he says and then reaches to the back seats of his car.

"what are you looking for?" i ask.

"one second" he says.

a few seconds later he pulls out a bag. he opens the bag and pulls out two pairs of sweats.

"here you can change into these instead of going all the way home" he says handing me a pair.

"thank you, but why do you even have these in your car" i say.

"well you know how i planned for us to go to a movie, i figured that you'd probably want to be comfortable so i brought us some sweats" he says.

"that makes sense, well thank you" i say.

"mhm" he says.

we take turns stepping out of the car so the other could change. after we were all changed and dry we both sit in our seats ready to go, however we don't know where we are going.

"fuck" he says.

"what happened," i ask

"our tickets got cancelled" he says.

"for what" i ask confused.

"the outdoor movie" he says.

"oh, that sucks" i say.

"yeah..." he says.

"so what now," he says.

"i don't know," i say.

"well... i mean i have my laptop. we could go to to target and get some snacks and blankets and then we could pull down the seats and watch a movie. if you want" he says.

"sounds like a plan to me"i say.

"great, so target?" He says.

"yup" i say.

we drive to target and soon arrive. we go into the store and go inside to get out array of snacks and blankets. after a half hour of shopping and 10 minutes fighting over who paid, we finally got out of target.

by the time we got out of the store the rain had stopped, so i guess that was a good thing. josh opens the truck of his car and he pulls down the back seats. we set up our blankets and all of our goodies. we drive to a secluded place so people wouldn't look into the car and think we were crazy people.

we choose high school music to watch. we get comfy and start watching the movie. throughout the whole thing josh sang along with the songs which slightly surprised me. i had never met a guy like him who actually knew all the songs. we watched the whole movie just on time when i had to get going back home.

i helped josh clean up his car and threw away all the candy wrappers we had left over.

he drove me back home, but before i went inside i wanted to thank him.

"i got you this, to thank you for today" i say handing him the keychain set i bought earlier.

"when did yo- i this from earlier, you didn't need to thank me. it was already enough for you to even come" he says.

"still. i saw you looking at it earlier and thought you'd like it" i say.

"you still didn't have to get it, but thanks" he says bringing me into a hug.

"no problem" i say softly as we are hugging.

we stand there for a second and then pull away.

"well i think its time for me to go back in. my parents are probably waiting for me" i say.

before i got out he pulled me back to him.

"wait" he said.

i starred at im for a second, confused on why he did so. he then brought his hand up to my face and cupped my jaw. i saw him glance down making me do the same thing without stopping myself. he started leaning and before i knew it i was following his actions. he stopped when or faces were millimeters apart to see if i would pull away. when i didn't do anything he got his confirmation and did what i think both of us were yearning for.

he pressed his lips to mine bringing us into a kiss.
