REALITY

i quickly go to my room and then stumble down the stairs. i almost tripped on the last step, sounds just like me. anyways i make my way to the dinning room. i come to see the rest of my family seated at the table ready to eat.

"there she is" my dad says noticing i came down.
"sorry i had to do something really quick" i say and take a seat between sage and my dad and setting my phone down on the table.
"well your here now" my my mom says with a soft smile.
"mhm" i respond.
"well lets dig in, shall we?" my mom says.
"lets do it" my dad says.

we all take turns passing around the different dishes my mom has made. i wasn't very hungry so i take small servings of each dish to be respectful. we all dig in and enjoy our meals accompanied by some small talk and laughs around the table. to say for the most, dinner was pretty good. we don't have many family dinners as just the five of us at home that often so it was nice. my dad was saying his stupid jokes that made us laugh but were very corney. all of a sudden my phone starts to buzz. i check it and see its from instagram and dismiss it. i didn't think anything of it until it started to ding multiple times.

"uh y/n.. your phone" milo says.
"sorry sorry i'll check it later" is say putting it on silent.
"you can check it now if its important" my mom says.
"no it ok, i'll see it later" i say.

after dinner milo, sage and i help my parents cleaning up the kitchen and dinning room from dinner. after that its basically free time for all of us so we all part ways. i don't know what the others are doing but i go to my room and was about to watch netflix until i feel tired when i remember the little incident from dinner. my phone was blowing up the crazy. I take it off silent and then go to instagram, where the notifications were coming from. i see that i get a dm so i check my inbox to see who its from. i see the username oliviarichards.

i read in a book that the author was saying how it was like 20 chapters in and the main characters weren't dating yet, girl we're 34 chapters in and we're not dating yet.🤠 lol
this is the 40th part too..
although i wrote the chapter for when they hang out today
