REALITY

i didn't know who the guy was but he seemed sketchy. i felt like i was being watched the whole time, but soon i arrived at the ice - cream parlor and felt a bit safer. when i walked inside the first thing i noticed was the aroma of sweets. it honestly smelt like heaven. i was taken away from my senses when i saw josh sitting at a small table in a corner of the store. just as i was walking towards the table i got a text.

REALITY

i didn't even bother responding.

"i'm here dumbass" i say and he finally look up from his phone.
"if you would've looked up you would've seen me" i added.
"have you been there for a while" he says.
"no" i say laughing.
"oh ok" he says and laughs too.
"so" he says.
"so?" i say.
"what did you need show me" he asks.
"oh right...promise your won't get mad at me. i have nothing to do with this. when i found out i though you should know too" i say.
"i won't... i have no idea what your talking about" he says.
"well do you want me to show you or jus- or how bout' i say this.. were you at the party before school started?" i ask.
"no, it was my brother's birthday and we were busy all weekend so i didn't bother going" he says.
"oh..well stuff happened i guess" i say.
"were you there? what happened?" he asks.
"no i wasn't there and i didn't know anything happened until ness- someone showed me this video" i say.
"what video?" he says.

i pull out my phone and show him the video. as he watched the video i watched his face. i could see him getting mad and a bit sad. it was kinda how i felt when i saw it.

"who is that" he ask.

oh he couldn't tell.

"nessa" i say quietly.
"no shit, the guy?" he says.
"vinnie" i say.
"vinnie?! why him. i thought we were good" he says.
"it's cause' he was my boyfriend" i say.
"you guys dated?" he says and i nod.
"for almost two years" i say.
"why'd they do that?" he says. i could hear the sadness in his voice.
"i don't kno- god do you not know!" i say.
"know what!" he says.
"nessa and olivia fucking hate me! they did that trying to ruin my relationship not realizing they would mess up your too!" i say.
"what?!" he say.
"you didn't want to believe me" i say.
"so what you said was true..." he says.
"yeah! i don't know why, but nessas always hated me and then olivia all of a sudden hates me too, we used to be good friends, but i already told you that.." i say.
"oh...i'm sorry" he says.
"what" i say.
"i'm sorry..i didn't know all of that. if i had i would've stopped them" he says.
"no, it's not your fault and you shouldn't get involved with it but i just thought you should know.." i say,
"yeah, i'm glad you showed me that" he says.
"really?" i say.
"yeah..i guess since it's coming from you i can believe you" he say.
"mhm" i say.
"are you and vinnie still together?" he asks.
"uh... well i don't think so" i say.
"are you gonna stay with nessa?" i ask.
"well i don't know either but i don't think i want to if she's like that" he say.
"oh cool..well i think i'm gonna go" i say and start standing up.
"wait let me buy you an ice cream or something" he say.
"oh no you don't need to i need to get going anyways, thank you though" i say.
"you sure?" he says.
"yeah, i'll see you later" i say and walk to the door.
"ok bye" he says but before i fully leave he says, "hey y/n!"
i turn around on my heel and say, "yeah?"
"uh can i get your number, we've been texting over instagram and it's getting kinda annoying" he say.
"oh right, here" i say with a laugh. we exchange numbers and then i get going.
"see ya round" he says and i leave.
