REALITY

previously: "HAPPY BIRTHDAY"

i look around the place and i see many people. there were a lot of people. i didn't know what to think.

"i- what- how-" i say.

"happy birthday y/n" emma says walking up to me.

she encases me into a hug as i see many people walking up to me.

"i'm so confused right now, who planned this all?" i ask her and we pull apart.

"you're swear prince charming-" she says.

"wha-" i start.

"josh you dumbass" she says as she steps to the side revealing the one and only, josh richards.

he comes up to me and says "happy birthday" and then hugs me.

i wrap my arms around his neck as we hug. as we are hugging i whisper a "thank you." he relays with a "you don't need to thank me."

we pull away and i say "this probably took so much time and effort. you didn't need to do all this."

"but i wanted to" he says.

"of course the first thing y/n says when she sees all ting is 'you did not need to do this'" dixie says butting in.

"i said thank you!" i argue making everyone laugh.

"well i didn't know much on what to do, but i set up some games so i guess we should start on those if you want?" josh says.

"sounds good to me" i say.

"okay well shall we play some games" he say to everyone.

"lets go" i say.

we spend the next hour or two playing the numerous game josh had set up for us. when you first think about party games, you would think it would be pretty boring, but with all my favorite people it was a blast.

we were just chilling and having some snacks while talking. the people that were here was josh, of course, emma, dixie, james, larray, and some kids that we were friends with from school.

it was going pretty good until we see another car pull up. josh had said that everyone that he had invited was already here, so the others and i were a bit confused.

"who is that?" dixie asks.

"did we forget about someone?" i ask josh who was sitting next to me.

"just wait and you'll see" he says.

we keep caution now whose car had pulled up. soon, we see the infamous nessa and olivia come out of the car. oh god.

"what are they doing here?" emma ask.

"stay patient" josh says.

we were all so confused while josh was so calm, which is very strange.

i see nessa walk up to me, so i stand up. everyone else does the same.

"hey guys..." she says.

"whatchaya doin' here?" emma says.

"i wanted to come apologize...well we wanted to come apologize" she says referring to both olivia and herself.

"and you choose that to do that today because..." i say.

"a couple days ago nessa and olivia came to me asking to apologize about the whole thing that happened and i told them it wasn't my place to accept because it was you who they were bugging. after a lot of arguing they agreed, and i told them they could come and stop by today to talk to you. i felt like this would be a good time and a wake up call on you birthday" josh says.

"...and so thats where we come. i just wanted to say sorry. i didn't realize it, but ever since middle school i guess, i'd always see you with olivia and it made me feel this weird thing. i always had a crush on josh and being friends with his sister just felt like something i should have been doing. it was really stupid." she starts. i could tell the part about josh made him slightly uncomfortable. "i don't know why and how i did it, but i made up a lie and i told olivia. i'm not going to tell you what i said because i don't feel comfortable saying it, but i want to say sorry and i truly am disappointed in myself. when josh and i actually started dating i felt like i had everything i ever wanted. i guess i- i found it amusing to tease you and so i started doing it, which by the way, is so messed up. now with all what has happened i just want to say i'm sorry and i hope you can forgive me. you don't need to fully forget anything i ever did, but i just want to let you know that i sincerely am sorry and i wish you the best with everything. if you and josh do deceide to data then go for it. its not my place to decide it or not, but i'm cool with it if you guys are both happy. i guess thats all i have to say" nessa says.

i didn't have time to talk before olivia says, "and i want to apologize as well. we were really good friends when we were younger and i regret messing that up. you were my only friend back then and so i shouldn't have believed the lies nessa told me, but i guess i didn't know better. i don't want to play victim because i'm surely not, but i've always had a second thought on what we were doing. i guess i was brainwashed to even say all those things, but what happened is in the past. i know we will never have what we did, but i wanted to say sorry and i'll- we'll both leave you alone. i'm happy for you and josh too. i've noticed you guys sneaking around our door and you both seem very happy, so that makes me happy. my brother deserves someone good and i guess you're perfect for that. i don't really have anything else to say, so happy birthday and i hope you can forgive us."

"i- i don't know what to tell you. i don't know if i'm ready to forgive you yet, but thank you for apologizing...i guess. i'm glad you guys finally realized you're mistakes and owned up to them. thank you, but it will take time for me to forgive all the shit you guys stained into my brain over the past couple of years," i say.

to be honest that sounded like a bunch of crap, but i didn't really know what else to say without sounding too rude or harsh.

"well thank you for considering it at least... um well we got you a present since it is your birthday and we kinda interrupted it, but i guess we'll be leaving now. here.." nessa says.

she hands me a gift and then she along with olivia return to their car and drive away. i didn't know what had just happened so i was a little stunned until i hear larray speak.

"okay so what the fuck just happened?!"
