REALITYafter a bit our parent came downstairs. all of our bedrooms were on the very top floor of our house.
"alright kids lets go" my dad said and then we all looked up from our phones.
we all pilled into the car and then my dad started driving to which veer place we were going to today. our family likes to go to new restaurants all the time so i was wondering if were gonna go to a new place. i hadn't heard of any new ones at the moment so i didn't know.
"so any special occasion today?" milo said as my dad drives.
"what do you mean" my mom said.
"last time we went we got some surprising news and y/n's observation was right, every time we go out its always for an occasion" milo said.
"oh god these kids are getting smart" my dad said.
"well nothing special i can think of, just thought it would be nice for the first day of school" my mom said.
"oh ok, at least its not something bad" milo said.
"yeah" i say.
"everyone had a good day at school today, highschool?" my dad says.
"mine was actually pretty good, i don't know about them though" sage says.
"lucky for you to say, you practically have nothing to do this year" i say.
"hey! i have to do college applications and stuff" sage says.
"mhm" i say.
"you y/n?" my dad says.
"mine was ok, not the best" i say.
"anything wrong?" he asks.
"no, i just don't like school" i said with a lie.
"well i got lost about seven hundred times" milo said which made all of us laugh.
"you'll figure it out" i say fluffing the top of his hair.
"yeah yeah, although i think the teachers expect us to know how the school looks like how they know it" he said.
"thats always gonna happen, i didn't like freshman year, y/n?" sage says.
"no, i didn't like it either. i didn't like the teachers. there grouchy" i say.
"well, sounds like i'm gonna have the best year of my life" he say sarcastically.
"you never know" i say.
"we'll see" he says.we make it to this restaurant. i recognized it, we had been here last year on the first day too. I guess its either a coincidence or a new tradition. probably a coincidence. we all got out of the car and went inside.
time skip : we ordered and got settled at our table.
"so your dad and actually have something to tell you guys something" my mom says.
"i though you said there wasn't an occasion" milo says.
"well we didn't want to tell you until we got here" my mom says.
"so what is it..." i say.
"right, so we got some news on the houses" my dad says.
"oh no" i mumbled to myself.
"so we told you how there was the house in Florida and then the one across town.." my dad says.
"..and after doing some thinking we made a final decision" my mom says.
"please be good" i whisper.
"soo...the house that we will be moving into is.." my mom says.
"the one across town!" my day says.
"yes!" milo says.
"oh thank god" i say with relief.
"well looks like everyone's happy with the choice" my dad says.
"yeah, what happed to the other house?" sage asks.
"oh well, we couldn't really let go of this place yet so the other house got sold and we settled on the others one" my mom says.
"told ya" sage whispers to me.
"you guys will be able to see it saturday" my dad says.
"ok!" milo says.that was kinda the big news for tonight. the rest of the night we ate dinner and then went back home and played some games. i guess it was a family night on a monday?! oh well it dosen't matter. we had some good family time and then after a couple hours we got dessert and then went to bed. i guess it was a good way to end off the day.
