Ch. 55: The Fifth Gate: A Splendid Ninja is Born

3rd POV

"His whole body's changing." Sakura furrows her brows from noticing it.

Temari gasps out loud in astonishment.

Naruto exclaims, "He's turning red!"

"Yeah, but this time he did not swallow any pills!" Y/n raises her eyebrows as she watches the overpowered Lee growling loudly with heaps of rubble floating around him.

Kankuro leans forward, staring intently at Lee. "What's it mean? What's happening?"

"He's opened the Third Gate: The Gate of Life. Now he'll attack." Kakashi squints both his eyes at him.

Guy counteracts, "Oh no, not yet."

"Hm?" Kakashi turns to him confused.

Guy didn't say anything but has a small cunning smile.

"The Fourth Gate: Gate of Pain, open!!!" Veins start to protrude on Lee's face as he starts yelling, feeling the huge amount of power surging inside him.

The silver haired Jonin widens his eyes. "Incredible... No one can do that through sheer effort alone. The boy's truly a genius!"

Finally, Lee bends down a bit until he launches himself off leaving a total wreck on the battleground. Gaara is taken aback from the amount of power that Lee was emitting. Suddenly, Gaara felt a strong kick underneath his chin, causing a harsh wind to blow on everyone in the room.

Poor little song girl was still holding onto the metal bar so she closed her eyes and felt the air pressure. 'Oh my face!' Her h/c hair is waving frantically behind her.

Kakashi has his hand near his eyes in order to not have dust in them. 'He's faster than ever!'

When the strong wind stopped, Kankuro right away searched for his brother. "Huh? Gaara!"

Both Naruto and Kankuro survey around the battlefield.

"Whoa! Where'd they go?!" Naruto tries to see through the dust cloud.

Both Shikamaru and y/n tilt their heads up, finding Gaara moving up through the cloud of dust right away.

"Up there!" Shikamaru pointed.

Gaara groans in pain, feeling more cracks being made on his face.

Ino widens her pale blue eyes. "There's Gaara, but what happened to Lee?"

"He's just— Gone!" Choji turns his head side to side wide eyed as well.

Guy smiles again already finding out where his student's at.

Sakura watches the pile of sand rising upward to the redread. 'The sand can't move fast enough to protect him.'

The cracking doesn't stop, it keeps on moving creating crevices until some tiny holes peeks through beneath the sand boy's skin.

Lee flashes ahead, dashing towards his opponent. "Hiding behind that sand armor again, eh? Well, we will see about that!" With that, he transports himself a few inches in front of Gaara from above.

In speed, he punches him downward then, he transports again below him and lands a mighty kick on his back. The sand user flies upward in midair then he opens his eyes trying to find Lee. Until Lee appears on the left side of him and starts to kick him all over the place, like they're in a pinball machine.

'My armor can't withstand this pounding.' Gaara thought, feeling his sand armor struggling. 'It's crumbling away.'

Lee zips from one spot of the ceiling to the other till he drops down. "You are a tough one!" He shows up underneath Gaara again and kicks him hardcore upward.
