The sound of birds singing is heard throughout the woods. It seems that they're not the only ones who are awake because Haku stands near the open window in the hideout, looking at the view of the woods. As the light of dawn shines on him, he reaches up to his covered bun and unties it, letting his long, straight, black hair fall freely. (AN: I am so jelly of his hair. 😭)
Timeskip to another part of the woods...
Haku is now shown in a pink dress with a white apron picking medical herbs for Zabuza. As he kept picking, a little brown and white bird flew down and landed on his left shoulder. Haku glances at it with a smile and giggles seeing the bird tilts its head in curiosity. By seeing the bird, he can't help how much it reminds him of y/n. In comparison: they both can sing their sweet song with their winning voices; they can move gracefully; and they look beauteous in their own way. His pale cheeks began to flush a bit from that last thought. He barely knows the girl, he hasn't even talk to her and yet, she still caught his attention in a good calming way. All of a sudden, the bird and its flock fly away making him gasp and see Naruto and y/n sleeping on the grassy ground.

He sees two birds on top of Naruto and the third one standing near him, while y/n who has her head touching his right shoulder in the opposite direction has a bird nestled under her chin. As he looks closer, Naruto turns his head towards him showing the Leaf Village symbol. Haku narrows his eyes coldly, remembering his past encounter with the blonde ninja. He moves closer to them and stops, bending his knees down near Naruto. As he reaches out his hand, his dark eyes glances from Naruto to y/n. He notices how peaceful she looks with the sunlight lighting up her s/c skin gently. When his hand moved closer, the four birds got spooked and flew away.
Meanwhile, with the others...
"Good morning everyone." Sakura yawns loudly.
Kakashi, Sasuke, Tazuna, and Inari are sitting near the dining table with breakfast in front of them. As Sakura sits down, Tsunami sets a bowl in front of her.
"Here."
"Oh, thank you."
Kakashi is touching the metal on his glove, thinking about where y/n is. She did say that she will be back after she's done training but, she never. What adds on to his concern is that Naruto is with her, even now. His attention was soon caught from the bridge builder.
"Naruto and y/n's not here? Looks like they were out all night." Tazuna pointed out.
Sakura rubs the drowsiness from her eye while saying, "They've gone completely crazy. They're out climbing trees in the dark. He could be dead by now, ya know from using too much of his chakra. For y/n, I know she's smart enough to not over do it and kind enough to help him."
"Well I certainly hope they are okay. Children spending the night in the woods alone." Tsunami, who is holding a tray with a cup of tea said in concern.
